So I got my Chrome caps today. They're very nice looking and will look great on my BP. However, the threads are not very precise. I can't get either cap on all the way. I get them on about a quarter of the way and then they become very difficult to turn any further without tearing my fingers up from the knurled edges. The brass ones go on and off with ease and are silky smooth while doing so. Is there some issue with the threading on these caps that need attention? I'm gonna need to use my brass ones until I figure this out.

Bageone, I have been using the Powerizers in my Buzz Oldschool for the last couple days and noticed something strange. The voltage seems to drop noticeably toward the end of the charge. At least I was noticing the hit getting weaker and weaker and changed the batts and it was back up. I didn't meter anything but freshly charged batts brought it back.
I haven't felt a voltage drop like that in so long I wasn't sure what it was.

Check the threads we have seen some that has small burr's in the threads . If that does not work out let me know and we will replace them .

mist, I've noticed the same thing with my Powerizers and thought it was all in my head. Rather than turn completely off when they are spent, the red light turns a redish blue when pressing the button.

That is because they are NOT protected and keep draining , the old ones would cut out completely !

So when I notice the blue/red light then that means I should change them. I'm glad to know this is normal. I normally change batteries out each morning so I have fresh ones for the day. But when I first got them I was testing them to see how long they would last and that is when I was noticing the reddish blue light.

One of the last times I was hell bent on the Harley before I left Calif....I saw some reddish blue lights too.

Cost me $150 and an overnight in Hotel Hell-No Riverside, Ca..

I was just glad I didn't have to wear stripes for 2-5 years.

I had a carry permit for it, I swear. :thumb:

I don't have that issues with my chrome caps, they screw on and off nicely.

I noticed that the first time my batteries died and I actually like it. It is only the very last 4 - 6 hits. The other batteries died so suddenly without warning it always threw me off and I thought something broke. Now I get that not so good hit, look at the light and know it is time to change! Also I have not gotten the amazing runs times off these batteries I got with my first use. I don't know what that was all about, now I am getting about double the time I was getting from the old batteries as I should!

Nope the hubby was away on a camping trip, he left about 10 minutes after the batteries arrived, I hadn't even charged by the time he left. I don't know what happened that first time, they lasted for days... or I should say 10ml. Now I am getting around 6 or 7ml which is about 2x what I was getting off the old ones! And I guess that is just what it should be.

Any thoughts on when you might be set to do a brass end cap exchange? I was thinking of doing that plus the batts exchange at the same time.
