I'm obviously preparing for the zombie-apocalypse. How long can you store them? And I wasn't clear on the steeping question/answer above.

Currently:
Shake the heck out of them, tapping the top side on the palm of my hand. Hard. Several times.
Unwrap the cellophane and open the top.
Store the pack in a cool place for a day to let it "air out".
Glue the cellophane back on.
Put it in the fridge, or sometimes just leave it in the cupboard. For a month.

Is that correct? ;)

When the grandchildren come to visit I make sure to leave a few open cartons lying around. After all, they learn by example.

RE: Storage. I keep mine in an old Anderson shelter covered in camouflage netting so that the fda will NEVER find my stash.

To answer the OP's question: Yes, it is FINE. You should play around with this kit until you are ready for something more advanced. When you are ready for something more advanced, I hear that Zippo makes a really sturdy personal lighter (PL) and maye you can get some colored smokes for when you are out and about:

You can do it that way if you can't afford a cigar, but once you try one nothing else is as good. Besides, cigarettes break so easily you'll have to buy extras just to make sure you always have a spare in case the one your are smoking breaks. If my cigar breaks I can send it back to the manufacturer and they will be able to fix it for me.

The cigar fanbois are out in force today, it seems.

But isn't the artificial coloring bad for you?

Thanks for this. I was wondering whether I should cover my Benson in sticky-backed plastic? Maybe a nice Formica pattern. I think that would make it easier to grip.

Plus, when vapers blow their nasty vanilla flavored vapor in my face, I SWEAR I am going to call the police. Or punch them. It happened to me (and my KIDS) last week! TWICE! In the grocery store, even! Vapers were hanging out on the air freshener aisle and BLEW VAPOR in my KIDSES FACE. Where is the vapor etiquette?

Did you try staring at them and doing a half-hearted fake cough? I always imagine that working in my fantasies. Or maybe fan your hand in front of your face really fast.
I hope you burned those clothes, I've heard that third hand vape is worse than actually vaping.
