This is very interesting thread.
I also had some trouble vaping this Cinnamon Bun juice I have, and I thought it was the cartomizer I was using. Now reading this I'm thinking it could be the juice. This is what I posted in 'cartomizer issues' section yesterday:

I have this health cabin 2.0 dual coil cartomizers.

I had no problem with the first one using Apple Mandera juice.
But on this second carto with Cinnamon Bun juice it's making me cough every single time I vape.
It seems like the vapor is stuck in my lung not coming out, because I cough and exhale and there isn't much vapor coming out. Yet if I don't inhale and blow there's lots of vapor. And I don't think there's too much juice in there because it never gurgled and now it looks little dry at the top. I know there's still plenty of juice in there though.

The first carto I used never did this, but it was with other Juice. And this Cinnamon Bun juice which is making me cough on this carto vapes just fine and great on my atomizer.

I just tried to vape it again, keep the vapor in my mouth, blow out most of it, and inhaled just a tiny little bit of vapor that was left in my mouth, and it's still making me cough. Again, I never had this problem when vaping this juice on atomizer.

what could be wrong?

So do you think this could as well be the juice doing something in the carto?
It was a brand new carto on first use. It wasn't really tasting burnt or strange at the time, and I test vaped some just now and it tastes bit weird, making me cough again with a slightest vapor. But it was vaping fine on my atties(BF Hybrid atty from Vapage).

I wish I had different types of carto's and atties to experiment on this.

I don't know how plastic melting property is relevant to lung health.
Coke is very corrosive but doesn't seem to destroy stomach.
Tar and smoke particulates may not be very corrosive but they clogs lungs.

I think it wise to question inhaling anything that will eat plastic. Our stomachs are lined to protect us from the acid we use to digest food. Apples and oranges.

My guesstimation is flavorings are the most risky aspect of vaping
I have read a little about inhalation of atomized oils.
Have not checked into mild acid inhalation.

I don't won't any part of burning plastics or burning tobacco.

from what I understand, the part that's tearing up the plastic is mallic acid. I don't know a whole lot about it, but it's used in cinnamon and sour apple liquid too.

Interesting. Apparently malic acid is why I prefer Granny Smith apples to any other kind. I guess it makes sense I'd like it in my juice, too.

Back in the day health and safety and MSDS did not consider some acid gases to be carcinogenic.
H&S was not overly concerned w/ short term mild acid gas inhalation.
No idea about long term or critical concentrations.
Probably lots of info on the web.

For whatever reason, I can't vape the straight cinnamon flavor either... I had a terrible reaction to it (lorann's oil) when I did DIY... I inflamed the heck out of a lung... and the pain was incredible for a brief time... I did see a doctor...

Funny I should find this thread... after almost a year of no cinnamon, I just ordered and received today... some of VaporBomb's Cinnamon Danish Swirl... It's so good... I hadn't vaped it in over a year...

The juice is not hot... but I plan on vaping it somewhat sparingly...

I've been vaping nothing but 50/50 or > % VG Cinnamon since I started more than a year ago. The liquid raises heck with plastic carto's and Tanks. I switched to using a SS Torpedo Tank w/Pyrex Barrel & a plastic DT. When the C-E2 gets encrusted with sugar or whatever, I just toss um. JMHO

Cheers,

I noticed this with Delrin and Cinnamon Vapes. All vendors. I use LR Boge cartos and toss them when it gets gross. OVC has a great price on these. They better, I have another juice that will clog up a carto in 24-48 hours.

Don't pre-fill for sure. I have 60mls of "other" juice I've kept on hand for the last year when I need a pre-filled carto.

Never thought much of this phenomenon... I kinda just thought everyone knew.

It really wouldn't be a problem in cartos and any atty's that have no plastic my main point here is that the vendors should disclose this. I had one vendor tell me they only use joye arts and have no problems I feel like they should disclose this on the site because of a possible health issue

SoCal, Vapor Junction has tanks that are either ceramic or stainless steel; I don't remember which.

That SUX about cinnamon. I use G5 clearomizers and have to use Boge or Bloog cartos (I guess anything that isn't plastic) with my cinnamon juices. Damn, I have some CinnaBomb and some Cinnamon Red Hots; definately don't want something that can kill plastic like that to be in my lungs. But on the flip side of that, over time, even plain water can degrade pure rock; just look at the Grand Canyon; sure don't want my lungs to look like that though. I don't think this would have caught my attention if it wasn't for the pics. Good job.

Hmm... Don't know but I think inhaling melting plastic quite possibly could be worse than smoking. Curious and scary topic here.

Yeah its why I felt the need to post it so people are aware, I have a friend in the process of testing a cinnamon juice on different atomizers to see what the effects are over time.
