Anyone had any luck with TH via citric acid?

I have a bunch from my first DIY days, and haven't really touched it since. It did not seem to help. (I have 1/2oz of this, but one drop on the tongue directly and you KNOW you don't want a high concentration in your throat or lungs. It is in just about all fruit flavors of ANYTHING FDA approved for consumption.)

I know that JC uses this and vinegar in their juice. I believe there might be some in this Boba's Bounty from alien Vapor.

1) What % do some here use? (PG/VG% included.)

2) Concerns with using it at <=5%?

3) Do any Ninjas here use it for DIY?

I'm trying some experiments with it currently. Don't notice much of an increase in TH (or pucker for that matter) but it DOES affect the sour "taste" if not feel of a flavor. Seems to get better with age, but my sample is only a few days old. I'm not sure about the safety factor of vaping it. It doesn't seem to have a negative affect on my atty yet. I don't have a set % yet as I'm still not happy with my final product. I'm doing in depth experiments and will try to remember to update as I go.

MCBug, I did some experiments as well and my findings confirm yours.

I mixed up a home brew eLiquid of straight 0mg PG and food grade powdered citric acid in a ratio of 1 cc PG fluid to 1 cc citric acid powder. I have no idea what this would equate to as the chemical % solution, but I think it might have been almost supersaturated, because it was difficult for me to get the concentration that high (had to microwave a few seconds), and the resulting liquid was about as thick as VG.

Unfortunately, the result did not produce any discernable throat hit or harshness at all that I could notice. The flavor was quite distinct but not overly strong, sour, and citrus-like (as expected).

I recalled that a component of analog flavor is a certain sourness, so as a further experiment, I added a little of this to some 24 mg tobacco flavor (along with a little 48 mg tobacco flavor to keep the balance at 24 mg).

I could taste that the citric acid eLiquid added made the tobacco flavor seems slightly more like an analog's flavor, although the sourness was not strong enough. It did not appear to have any additional effect on the throat hit as best as I could tell.

So, it looks like another dead end to me.
