Good enough!

This is a dual coil build with coils centered in the deck for equal length cotton on each side...you'll get better with a little practice! :)

I'm sure this is a very basic question, but is it OK to drill the middle hole so I can fit two wires easier?

You can. As long as you have a Good Way to Hold the Deck while you do the drilling. Don't Try To Hold It By Hand !!!

Good Drills (M42 Cobalt or Carbide) is also Advisable.

And Remember the 2nd Rule of mod-ing e-Cigarettes...

"Never Mod anything that you can not afford to Replace."

I just need to adjust my legs!
That's it! leave legs a little long..install the coil but barely tighten screws and push the coil with the bit you wrapped it on to adjust getting it centered..tighten the screws and clip the legs sticking out the other side of the post(s)..
I never drilled the center post for larger wire..I like RDA's/RTA's that have large posts..

I've found velocity style decks Iike this one to be very easy to build with just about any wire... claptons shown here....

Hi
I love claptons myself..like these two in my Griffin.. not as small as yours looks like, but they vape great...
Its 24/32g kanthel (no annealing or beating with a hammer needed, lol) with about 7 wraps on 3mm bit and wicked with cotton bacon..pic was taken prior to new cotton for a flavor change after vaping about 150mls of juice..
You didn't say what atty your trying to build for...wish I could help more, :)

I have a griffin 25+ coming any day now. I'm excited to build on it!

If I hadn't bought the $33 drill a while back I would have bought the Avid Artisan Daedalus even though it's $73, then I wouldn't have had to drill holes in my table, but it works fine with the new swivels I got from Asia off Ebay, called "Owner P-17", size 2. The Berkley swivels I used before weren't that good. The Zivipf spools fit the Daedalus as they have an inner diameter a bit more than 10mm, that is required.

The Prospin 2 I was recommended by Skeintastic looks great, but the import tax for me on it is too much.

Instead of buying coils off eBay, go to a Dicks sporting goods or a Bass Pro Shop and get the ball bearing swivels. A bag of 6-8 will only set you back like $5 or so. Then you have them that day and do t have to wait for them. That's what I do.

Thanks, but in Norway the selection is quite poor. Cool profile picture btw. :)

If you have a sporting goods store you can probably find them in the fishing section. Wherever you get them, make sure they are ball bearing swivels and not just barrel swivels. If need be you can find them on Amazon or eBay.

Thanks for the words on the profile pic. I'm paralyzed from the waist down from a motorcycle accident 10 years ago as of yesterday. I got hooked up with a group that takes us "gimps" up in a sailplane (non-powered glider plane) for flights. That pic was taken off of a GoPro while we were flying. I was able to fly the plane using hand controls for the rudder instead of the usual way with your feet. Def a fun time. Now I'm working on getting my pilots license. It's such a blast. One other way to get me out of my chair and doing something fun. I water ski and wakeboard, I'm a certified scuba diver and play sports (softball and basketball although I'm still in a chair during those sports) and play sled hockey. The last 10 years has def gone by really fast but I have met a lot of people and made lifetime friendships doing these things.

Hope you end up getting what you need in Norway.

Great that you find so much enjoyment in life despite the tragic accident! Will be great having your own pilot license! Free as a bird. Bought Microsoft Flight Simulator in the mid 80s there about, but the manual was too much, and I soon lost interest. ;).

Bought Owner P-08 Ball Bearing Swivel with Snap Size 2 off Ebay a while ago. Works fine up to 30g core, possible with 32g, but got to keep it short.

Get one these. It makes claptons easy.

Avidartisan Daedalus Coil DIY Tool - $25.99

Nice price! Thank you!
