cleaned vivi nova heads, put in new juice, still got a bad taste, anyone can relate to this?

I think the heads on a vivi nova are really a hit or miss thing. I do a pretty thorough cleaning, I wash them, dry burn them, wash them again, and dry burn them until all the coils glow and I don't see any more vapor coming out of the heads. Sometimes, this will work great. But certain times, after I put in new juice, I will still get some kind of burnt taste.

Perhaps after the heads get cleaned a few times, this will happen more frequently? Then it's time to say good bye to the heads?

I got them from Gotvapes so I would think they are authentic. But then again, there might be other factors at play. Perhaps I should clean them even more.

I use Ego C Twist battery. I don't think it's the particular juice that's causing this because with a good head the juice will taste fine.

Don't dry burn. Leaves burnt deposits. Tastes burnt...because it is.

Just rinse it and get the start of a glow to dry the wick. Cool. Rinse. Warm it to dry. Don't go to the burn point. Dry burning is a resurrection method for turning gunk to ash on a coil that you would otherwise throw out. Not really for general cleaning IMO.

Not sure if you had the same problem as I did, but the burnt taste might be due to the silica(?) protection ring surrounding the wire being burnt. Try using a small scissor or nail clipper to remove that piece (avoid yanking/pulling the wick/coil). Once you're done, just refill with ejuice and give it a try. You can read more here. Have you tried priming the coil? I take off the sleeve on top and slowly add several drops of juice.
I seems to help reduce the break-in period.

what mg of nic are you using... the nauseous feel is usually do you over doing it on the nic. when you get this feeling put it down and drink some water..... you may also want to look into a lower mg nicotine juice. as that will help reduce the chance of over niccing and take away some of the bite you get when vaping.

I'm at 24 mg, and I feel the nausea right away, on the first drag. Even if my bf vapes near me I feel nauseous haha its pretty bad. I'd say the juice was bad, but he uses the same juice and setup and he loves it. Of course, I'm slightly under the weather and actually haven't felt much like vaping. Smoking is starting to appeal to me again, or at the very least my silly safecig is, because its easy and doesnt make me want to barf.

24 is considered high nic, i would get a couple of samples of various lower nic juices to see where you feel right at...

or you can always grab some 0 nic in the same flavor and try different ratios to see what works for you. 3 drops of 24 mg to 1 drop of 0 mg = 18mg, 2 drops of 24mg to 2 drops of 0 mg = 12mg, 1 drop of 24 mg to 3 drops of 0 mg will give you 8 mg.
