Just to chime in, I would be very careful cutting the silicone sleeve. This sleeve is a tight fit that seems to prevent flooding of the coil/airway passages as well as preventing too much juice from leaking up into the drip tip if left on it's side. I realize the "tip and roll" method of keeping these wicks wet at the top is an inconvenience, but I feel it's better than cutting too big a hole in the silicone and having the previously mentioned problems.
