cleaning bad taste out of atomizer?

I saw an article about this a week ago, but i cannot for the life of me find it again.

It talked about cleaning the bad taste out of a factory fresh atomizer.

Anyways, i cleaned my atty in some rubbing alcohol two days ago, and it had a bad taste in it afterwards. i gave it a couple days of heavy vaping, hoping it would go away, but it is still very strong.

If you know of any tricks, or even the article im talking about, that would be great if you could share the info, or post a link.

Welcome to the vaping world

I had this happen too and had to dewick the atty. You can only do this if you use that atty for dripping after wards. It cant be used with a cartridge or cartomizer thereafter. With my burned atty, the threads were singed and that's what I was tasting. Once I got the singed wick out, the taste went back to normal.

Thanks for the info! i tried a few different washes, and i finally got the bad taste out. I'm planning on debridging and dewicking my current atty to drip once i get a few more. I'm still running on my starter kit, and want to keep running on it for as long as possible!
