Cleaning Bloog Cartomizers

I haven't settled on go-to juices yet, and haven't bothered with a marking system, as I hope to whittle it down to a few favorites at some point. So, I vape a carto dry, toss it in the empties pile, and then wash them all every few days.
yeah I need some clean ones, no little bit of leftover flavor or I won't be able to judge these new juices. I did put some of the Prime15 into an old 555 carto and guess what? I tastes like 555! Shocker, I know. So while it's not a bad vape, I want to know what it tastes like on its own. Same with the Tribeca -- I have RY4 old cartos so while it will enhance whatever is lingering in there, it's not a fair test.
What I've decided to do after boiling a batch and having most of them not draw nearly as well.
I don't begrudge Bloog making a continued profit while providing me with a very cost effective alternative to smoking...
2 hours on 170 and they're ready? Which way do you have them sitting in the oven?
I've been having a heck of a time. I can get them clean, but can't seem to get them dry. I've tried the oven at 170 for an hour then sitting overnight, I've tried blowing air through them then sitting over night. I was about to give up on reusing them, but if I can possibly get some done tonight (I leave for NYC for the rest of the week in the morning) I'm certainly willing to give it one more shot. I was honestly afraid of running out of usable cartos while I'm out-of-town.
The few times I've cleaned cartos, I dried them out with a blow dryer. Took about five minutes, and they were bone-dry.

If you scroll down through the thread you will see a picture of the setup I use.
All it is, is a rubber "baby booger sucker" (sorry somebody else named it that lol)and a rubber pen grip.
Stick the carto in one end of the pen grip, and the sucker in the other end.
Squirt some hot water thru the carto, then give it a couple more squirts of air to get the excess water out of it.
Lay them on a cookie sheet any which way and bake them on 170 for 2 hours.
When they are done, you are ready to start refilling (after they cool down...experience talking lol)
Just my personal way of doing it. Sunday nite I cleaned 25 cartos in about 15 minutes. Baked them and started refilling that evening.

Thanks everybody for the ideas. I'm probably going to try the oven again AFTER blowing the water out with a turkey baster (don't have a baby booger sucker anymore) and hope that works, since I'm not going to be able to experiment any until I get back from NYC on Friday.
I blow out with a turkey baster, AND spin. Spinning really does get almost all of the water out, and it only takes 1-2 seconds for each carto. You can use the battery bag that came with your bloog if you don't have anything else.
Which way do you have the carto facing for the spin, mouth-side or battery-side out?
Good tip! Thanks. I soak mine overnight in PGA (removes the gunk well) and then boil for 5 minutes.
I actually do a "thermometer shake" after my boiling phases are complete....and before sticking them in the oven. Sorry to have left that off. Good point, Popeye!!
But are you attempting to get the water to come out the battery end or the mouth end? I really need to this right tonight
it doesn't really matter. with enough centrifugal force it'll all come out. Just like it doesn't matter what end you fill with a condom.
A "thermometer shake", super fast should accomplish this too. I just prefer the spin, because I feel like I'm getting the most out that is humanly possible, and it's easier on my wrist. But that's just my preference.

I thermometer shake with the mouth end out. I figure it is a wider opening for the water to be expelled through. Then, in the oven, I bake with battery end down. (heat rises, so steam will go out the top)
If I was going to air dry on a towel, I would do it mouth-end down (as gravity will pull the water out). One person on ECF actually sticks twisted papertowel in the ends to help wick moisture out.
