maybe I'll give that a try. I need some nice fresh ones to try my new juices. thanks!
You go through all this trouble?
I just refill mine until they stop working ok (<= 20 refills) and then toss them...
20 refills on a $2 carto -> $0.1 per refill (1ml)
I think they "earned" their rest after that.
$0.1 (+juice) instead of my previous 4€ a pack is a pretty good deal.
You guys are patient! I do a 3-process boil.... 1st with 1/2 white vinegar and water, then two more times with plain water....about 10 minutes per boil. Then I bake them in the oven on the lowest setting (170?) for two hours. Crystal clean and ready to load!
2 hours on 170 and they're ready? Which way do you have them sitting in the oven?
I've been having a heck of a time. I can get them clean, but can't seem to get them dry. I've tried the oven at 170 for an hour then sitting overnight, I've tried blowing air through them then sitting over night. I was about to give up on reusing them, but if I can possibly get some done tonight (I leave for NYC for the rest of the week in the morning) I'm certainly willing to give it one more shot. I was honestly afraid of running out of usable cartos while I'm out-of-town.
After doing all your drying out techniques put all your cartos in a bowl of rice for a day. Rice will absorb all moisture. It works really well.

I blow out with a turkey baster, AND spin. Spinning really does get almost all of the water out, and it only takes 1-2 seconds for each carto. You can use the battery bag that came with your bloog if you don't have anything else.

Just spin the water out. Baking will only take out small amounts of moisture. You have to spin most of the water out first.
I actually do a "thermometer shake" after my boiling phases are complete....and before sticking them in the oven. Sorry to have left that off. Good point, Popeye!!
But are you attempting to get the water to come out the battery end or the mouth end? I really need to this right tonight
