Another good place for 99% alcohol is a good computer store. Same stuff used to clean off the processor before installing the heat sink.

For 99% alcohol get Everclear which is available in most liquor stores. It is basically moon shine. You can also use something like Absolut Vodka which also works well. I keep a 5th of Everclear on hand just for cleaning equipment be it e-cig stuff or reloading equipment. Rubbing alcohol will also work well but that can't be drank.

Everclear is 190 proof, 95% alcohol, 5% water.

The ProVape website states to use 99% but you can use 91% if that is what's available. Although based on the replies here I may just have to swipe a few oz. of my wife's Svedka Vodka bottle. She has a 1.75L bottle I'm sure she won't notice!!!

Svedka Vodka is 80 proof, 40% alcohol, 60% water.

Just get the 99% isopropyl alcohol. It's a better choice than Everclear, and a hugely better choice than vodka.

If I ever went the Everclear or vodka route, I'd never get my Provaris cleaned.

Haven't tried it yet myself but I heard someone suggest using an ol Bic pen body with half of a regular q-tip in the end. This to work around the requiring long q-tip issue.

99% alcohol really DOES get more dirt and gunked on stuff off though,,,,,,

you really can't find it locally,,,,I had to buy mine on EBAY, and I know some people have gotten it on Amazon,,,,if you have Prime, you can avoid those shipping charges,,,,,,

I got mine on eBay too after having no luck whatsoever locally. A few places online were selling 10-30ml bottles aimed at vapers for ridiculous money. I got a litre of 99.9% for the equivalent of around $9.50. Will most likely last me years!
