What cake for brains decided that 901 batteries should automatically 'cleanse' the atomizer after every 1500 puffs

Didn't the dumb pudding head realise that users would not be using the same battery ALL the time

Two nights ago I was puffing away when I heard a tell tale fizzing - I quickly unscrewed the battery but not quick enough :(

The atomizer tasted as though cake for brains had puked his pudding up in one end and wiped his .... on the other for good measure :grr:

Anyway - out with the steam cleaner. Atomizer pushed into one end of some clear tubing the other end of which was pushed on to the nozzle of the steam cleaner. Gentle pressure on the trigger and a jet of steam did the business.
As the atomizer gets very hot with the steam it takes no time to dry and 5 minutes later after a re-prime with Smokesters 'Like Smoke' it was producing vapour better than ever with no hint of the atrocious 'cleansed' taste :thumb:

Intermission for a tip
While I had the steam cleaner out I decided to clean my other atomizers - and this is where the tip comes in - I was a little heavy on the trigger while doing one of the atomizers which resulted in a powerfull jet of steam passing through it's gubbins - when I went to reprime it I noticed that the wool bridge etc had nearly been forced all the way out!! I managed to push everything back in and it all works but for those who use pressurized cleaning methods - take care - don't use too much pressure - your insides may pop out.

Last night while puffing away on one of my newly steam cleaned atomizers I heard a tell tale fizzing - I quickly unscrewed the battery but not quick enough.... :(

....If I ever get my hands on the dumb pudding with cake for brains that 'invented' automatic cleaning I'll stick his bloody battery so far up his .... he'll be able to clean his teeth with it :-x

If it didn't clean all the time it would last a lot longer it seems. How else are they gonna make money on parts

"Hey Bill, lets make this thing burn super hot every one in a while and eventually blow out the heater.
"Good idea Jim, it'll taste like crap too so maybe they'll buy more BEFORE it even burns out"
"Yeah those pudding heads won't have a choice!!"
"We'll show them who has cake for brains!"
:D

You know what, when it does a self clean on mine with a tobacco flavoured juice, it actually tastes more like smoke afterwards. I don't mind it. But only if there was no cart, burnt carts taste nasty. Burnt tobacco juice ain't too bad. But then again I like Vaseline on toast. Or Marmite on ice cream:p

Agreed, it's the polyester mucking things up. I drip exclusively with the DSE901 so it's not much of an issue, but I will say, burnt Coca cola flavour is not too great.:p

Once again, I think the solution is to pull off the cartridge, not the battery. I think the problem is having the cartridge in while the atomizer is active for so long.
