If this uses the same circuitry as the Zmax, does it have all of the same functionality...variable wattage, etc? It does look mighty tempting!

The Clearmax and soon to be released AcryliMax are the same board as the ZMax, just wanted to create a few different styles. All the functionality is the same as the ZMax..

^ What he said and would there be any plan to release the whole board as a stand alone unit?
Would be wicked awesome if you had any MAX powered APV and you could DIY replace the electronics inside, if they were to die at some point.

Have mine in hand, seems to be nice.
1 good thing, it addresses all the complaints people had about not being able to stand the APV on end, since the bottom cap is flat.
Can't get the display to shut off when firing, or keep voltage on display when firing, but may be more user error than anything.

Is the screen lighting up with numbers as in can you go through the menu selection? I ask because a few of the VMax units had problems completing the grounding circuit with the battery cap. If all is working except for firing your cartos try a 510 to 510 adapter to see if that will make contact on the threaded end.

Yeah I tried both ways. These Clearmax's have generic MV 510 connectors so they aren't the same as the Z or Vmax anyway. I sent it back and hopefully I'll have a new, functioning unit. Everything worked except the firing...I should've tried to see if I could raise up the middle post but I spaced that out...none of my atties would work so it was might have been just that issue.

Ordered mine today! Now to start stalking the mail man! On average how quickly does MadVapes normally get packages shipped? Can't wait to try the ClearMax! Though can't help but wonder if a better name would be the MadMax?

My last order (with my clearmax) took two days to ship, but only two more days to arrive thanks to USPS. And I'm on the left coast, so... Pretty stinkin' quick.

Does the Extension Cap for the ZMax also work with the clear and acrylimax units as have a few pairs of slightly taller than standard 18350's I would like to get use out of so looking for a vv unit that would allow me to.thanks in advance
