I would like to know which of the two last longer. I have been vaping for a little over a week (ciggy free) and have only used a clearomizer. You just fill up with juice and go. I currently have an ego battery and watched a video on how to fill an ego cartomizer and It looks a little involved. He was popping off 2 pieces at the mouthpiece and said you can discard one piece if you want. Poking holes through the mouthpiece to squirt the juice in with a syringe. Can all that poly fill melt or burn if you dont keep it juiced up enough? The cartomizers are less expensive though. What advantages other than price does the carto offer?

You will find both camps here some prefer one or the other. I like the vivi nova 2.5 clearo or tank whichever you want to call it. It is easy to clean or fill and has no fiberfill. It comes with 3 heads that are replaceable so you can try different resistances. Here is a pic and review

I've only used pre-filled cartos, since I am still trying a bunch of different flavors. The cartos are great the first time through, but I don't enjoy the flavor or how I need to continually top off after refilling. I haven't tried boiling them to clean out the previous flavor, it seems like too much of a hassle, so I end up throwing them out

I am really sold on the clearos, my Vivi Nova mini is great for when I don't want to drip and it is very easy to clean and fill. Plus the replaceable heads will probably end up saving me time and money in the long run. In the end, the only advantage I saw with the cartos I was using was that the setup was shorter and less conspicuous for stealth vaping.

Personnally, I started with a Vision Clearomizer. I like the vape from it and works well with a standard ego battery.

I also like a cartomizer as well and I use Boge cartomizer in a 5ml tank. I like that too.

I think usage is based on consumption. I do agree its preference. I personally like going through a cartomizer more. I think it is smoother of a vape.

I'm on the fence on this

Now that I've used my vivi nova tank, I'm totally divided.

I am vaping from a 3ml DCT tank right now and from the vivi nova tank.

I love the flavor that I'm getting from my nova tank. They are both easy to clean and perform very well. I think cost-wise, the initial investment for the DCT is cheaper, but you will need extra cartos, which are relatively inexpensive.

With the Nova, you can get replacement heads with different ohms. I'm torn. I think its via preference of taste, look and function. I think if I had to choose, I would choose BOTH. I think they both have positives and negatives, but I like to use them both.

I'm moving toward what I think of as a hybrid of the two. I like my Cleari and my Carty but I have a Vivi Nova 2.5 on order. The Clear is easy to clean and fill but the Carty with a tank has a replaceable atty.
Just my meager experience in my jump in with both feet experience.

Bottom line what ever floats your boat. Some of this is very subjective.
My two cents are given. LOL
