My Current Experience and Problems with CE2s:
I've only been vaping about 2 weeks, and I just got a back of CE2's in. I filled on using a method of removing the inner plug I watched on a youtube video, and it vaped great. I totally loved it! The flavor seems very pure. AND there was no juice on my lips or at the battery connection which was a nice change from the Boges! But when I went to refill it using the same method I totally destroyed the inner plug and ruined the clearo. :(

So then I tried the syringe method on a new clearo. Didn't have a syringe that fit the needle, so I whittled down one of my kids old oral med syringes to fit. After about 15min I had it working, and had it filled. But it tasted burnt like a dry burn, so I dripped a few drops down the hole to maybe prime it wicking, and it vaped great for about two hits. I then decided to let it soak overnight. Tried it this morning... same thing. Dripped a few drops, and it vaped great for about two hits before the burnt taste again. What's the deal? Is it just not wicking? Does this happen often with Clearos? I'd give up on these things expect that my first vape with them was so freaking awesome! HELP?

General Clearomizer Confusion:
Who makes these things? I was under the impression that GotVapes was the manufacturer based on the way their website reads and various posts here, but the CE2s I got were from GoodeJuice and don't say "Fluximiser" on them. After waiting for the "Phoenix's" to be back in stock this past two weeks, I started looking around and found "CE3 smokymizers" and others on various websites. Are these knock offs? What's going on here? And what is the difference between all these clearomisers? Specifically the CE2s and CE3s? If the CE3s are a newer better design then I'd think the CE2s would be phased out and not sold, but it looks like they're just a competing product which leads me to believe some people like them better. Otherwise why are they still being sold? Is there an FAQ? lol...

I had the same issue with CE2s

Plus the bonus that if I wasn't getting burnt hits, it was flooding. When they worked, they were fantastic... they just didn't work reliably.

Tried CE3s after that and they were even worse, no dry hits, but they flood like crazy.

I'm now using Ego Visions(Stardust, vision clearo, CE4+, etc.) I have the long 8-wick version and LOVE them.

I bought 2 about 6 weeks ago and have been cleaning them regularly and refilling them... I think 1 gave up the ghost yesterday... gonna clean it and see, but it does not appear to heat at all anymore. Still, for ease of use, life expectancy, consistency of hit and vapor production, they're the best IMHO

to my knowledge all of them are made in china by the same 2 or 3 factories, regardless of the brand name you buy them under here.

OK, these are all made in China. The CE2s are the same regardless of brand name, and the CE3s are the same regardless of brand name. Now there are CE4s. So there are CE2s, CE3s, and CE4s. Why sell all three types? What do I look for so I know I'm getting what I want? For instance, I figured out that I had to make sure the cartos I bought said "Boge" because some of the no-names were a bit inconsistent. Do I just look for the CE(whatever)?

I'll look into the CE4/Stardust/vision/whatever... yesh. Maybe I'll have better luck with them. Egos are 510 threaded right? If so then I should be able to use it on my Provari, but I wonder how it will look. I really want to have that awesome vape again that I had with my first CE2!

The lack of proper banding here is confusing. They need to go take a marketing course so their consumers know how to identify their product.

What has always worked for me was to take the inner cup seal out completely, then just fill it with a blunted needle down between the plastic wall and the ceramic cup. Take that thin final seal and put it back in ridges down towards the cup and push it down until the cup fits right into the groove. Pop the end cap on or a drip tip and take a few 'no inhale' drags and you are good to go. When its time to refill, just use a bend paperclip to pop that thin seal back out, fill and repeat.

Is there any vendor out there that sells all of these, CE2s, CE3s, CE4s, and syringes and needles, etc so I call give them all a try and see what I like? I keep looking around and some vendors have one, others have another, but I'd like to just get a sampling of these. GotVapes seems to have a good selection, but nothing is ever in stock! I know I've only been at this two weeks, but if they are always like this how do they stay in business???

Thanks to all who have replied!

Dont forget about new CE5's that are rebuild-able, you can replace the atomizers in them which cost about $2.50 each.

GV Vision Replaceable Stardust : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Are multiple people selling rebuild-able vision clearo's, I am not sure if they are all made in the same place, or if there are cheap knock offs yet. I have not tried them yet, but like the thought of them being rebuild-able.

Just found this review of CE5, watching it now...
