Clearomizer Question

Hey all! I'm new to this forum, but so far, very impressed! I just got my first clearomizer (for the volt) and was wondering... How do I tell when it's toast?? I know they should last 2-3 weeks and need to be cleaned sometimes, but how do I know when it needs to be cleaned or when it needs to be thrown away?

If it starts tasting different, clean it. If it just won't fire any more, throw it away.

Usually mine get sort of sludgy before the taste changes and I vape most of the liquid that's in it and then clean it.

I also clean mine if I'm changing flavors, so I usually clean it before the taste starts changing.

I have some clear juices so they get a little "cloudy". Its time to clean mine.

My clearos have a tendency to darken my liquid so I like to rinse them out about every other refill. I have some that are 4 weeks old and are still going strong. None of mine have just stopped firing but I have lost 2 to cracks in the plastic.

And how long before you throw it away?

I wouldn't throw it away as long as it's working. If it still fires but you just can't get it to taste right even after cleaning it and dry burning it, then I'd throw it away. But these things are not very complicated - They pretty much either work or they don't.

Great, thanks! I was hoping they would last a little longer as long as I cleaned them regularly. I'd rather clean it and save $6 every couple of weeks than replace it. Awesome info! I don't think I will be able to see any color changes since I got a dark colored one.

What causes them to crack?
