Hey, between the three of us, I feel we can get things done. Do you have any of the old style ce4 top hats floating around? I'm thinking I could find a replacement part. I just need the measurements, if you could mic it.

I've gotten the ce2/ce4 mod down to a science now but I still don't feel ready to give up on the ce4+. Plus now that Smoketek has the echo version in 2.5 and whistletips, I'm taking another look.

I never toss anything, if you need any other measurements just yell.

I have one of my trimmed wick CE3s running in a home made tank, this thing is blazing!

I have a few repairable CE2s going now with stainless steel mesh or cotton yarn. Its ridiculous how poorly silica wicks compared to these two materials. I have yet to get a dry hit. Every time I vape you can hear mild gurgling as its sucking up the juice so rapidly (and yet no leaking). The layer of juice that builds up around the wick is super thick as well, even when the carto is near dry. Very good stuff!

Cyrus have you tried rewicking any of the CE3's yet?
Does your steel mesh have any wicking material in it or did you just season it with heat & liquid?
How is that dual coil working out for you?

Edit: I'm really digging that CE3 mod, did you use a syringe tube?
I don't think we are suppose to use the term 'mod' anymore, so...
I'm really digging that Advanced CE3!

yo yoooooo

The steel mesh is just rolled up, nothing inside. It wicks so well its silly. Just flamed and dunked it 4 times to oxidize it, and added some VG and burnt dry before using to be safe. I always test with an ohm meter before using as well, because seems like whenever there is a short or a funny connection the numbers fly left and right so you can tell something is wrong before you fry a battery

That tube is pretty isnt it!? LOL Its from my first e cig that I bought in the mall, it was a disposable, and it came in that tube. Not sure what its made out of, but its a thick (like a syringe) but more clear plastic. No funny tastes or leeching yet. The top plug is also from the e cig. The inner top plug and bottom plug are beveled faucet washers from home depot, I have a few sizes and they all seem to work in something. I just built another one from the remaining portion for a fluxo tank.

I haven't tried rewicking any CE3s yet, but I plan on it real soon. I might start with a single strand of cotton yarn and see how it goes. I rewicked a new fluxo with stainless steel today by just pulling/twisting out the silica and threading through a stainless steel mesh, its drying right now getting ready for use in the new tank

The dual coil is SICK! It works out of the box, its amazing :) Trying to encourage vaping zone to get 808s and disclose the manufacturer. The wicks even look strange, very fluffy, doesn't look like silica. Can't wait to dissect.

usually you see that on china sites. Typically there are two categories. Vgo is any high mah 808 whether it's auto or manual and ego is any high mah 510. The problem is the echo-e is technically an ego battery and then they seem to put whatever they think will get good hits on google in the title. You really need to scour the description and specs and picture to figure out if it's an 808 and if it's has the flat base for the echo. Our usa vendors do a better job of differentiating the Vgo as a manual 808 with cone threads- An echo as an auto flat base connection- And an echo-e as having 510 threads.

I had good seals around the CE3 with the tank. I did another version with the tube by cutting long slots in the tube, going from just below the wick to above the large step. It still leaked/ran out, but my older mod where I drilled large hole just above the first large step all worked fine.

I'm gonna play with these 3.5ml clear giantmizors for a few days since I got them.

Thx for the clear description. It would be great if the vendors could be as succinct.

Cyrus, what I'd like to see is a naked ce2 with the hypodermic needle soldered on. Yes. I asked for a picture. Please stop laughing and go change your pants.

you've got it buddy, just bear with me I'll try to cook something up

at the moment I have been using silver, will that do? I think I might have one with hypodermics some where in my desk, or at least a picture of it

The markup here or the high shipping costs there. Depends on how large an order you are making. And if you can wait. Most of my vendors here can and will tell me where they got it from which is a plus as I learn who makes the good stuff and who to avoid.

I had meant 'tax' as in 'tax the mind' in keeping up with the perhaps misleading variations in reference termonology and pictures that don't quite show what we need to know.
