Most of my CE3/CV3's are 2.4-2.6 ohm so the wife could use them on her KGO, a few are 2.8-3.0.
I vape the 2.4-2.6 @ 4.2-4.5 volts as that seems to be the sweet spot for me.
Most of my juice is 70/30 PG/VG, so I trim the wicks @ 45 degrees.
This seemed to really bring the flavor out of the juice.



A buddy uses higher VG, so he is getting better flow by trimming the wicks flush with the tube.

Even though 90% of my juice is 70/30, some seem 'thicker' than others and seems to give dry hits or less flavor.
That's when I gently rock the tube a little which will raise the center post; take a few test puffs and repeat until the flavor shows up.
I did trim one flush, but @ 70/30, it seemed to leak a little.

The wife was a die hard stardust user and I just converted her the other day.
She was jealous of the clouds of vapor I was getting

Occasionally, while rocking the tube, it may raise to far and I have to push it back down and start over. (Do this step off the batt as it may push juice out.)

Once it's set, it's good to go and I can refill several times with the same juice and get good flavor & vapor with no issues.
Now if they could make the center tube with threads so you could dial it in, that would be awesome

It wasn't very long ago that I thought that we would never have mass produced rebuildables. Presently, I'm pleased that I was mistaken. The CE4's seem to be a great product. Others of you may have your own favorites.

I suppose we'll continue to see improvements and tweaks. At present I'm comfortable to sit back and enjoy a bit and not be concerned about when my carto is going to go bad.

Then again, Fourth of July sales are coming.

It seems all the mods out there hinge on one thing, allowing just the right amount of juice in. Your 45 degree trick is kind of novel, I like it

I've only played with trimming flush, +/- pulling out some wick, +/- filing out crescents or notches above the existing wick holes, +/- laying extra wick on top of the existing set up. The issue I have is, I can't predict when I'm going to get a rock concert, a dry fest, or a biblical flood.

Perfect example. Rebuilt one this morning with small notches, all cotton wick trimmed flush wick, stock coils. I'm pushing 12 watts on this thing (I kid you not) not a single dry hit.

This same phoenix was roasting anything I put in it with the stock silica wick trimmed flush, and alternating this behavior with floods lol.

And I have to confess to you all, I've been flirting with the hh .357 atty and IO6 lately, and I'm loving it. I almost feel like I'm being unfaithful But rest assured when I don't want to drip its back to the fluxo, or a phoenix if the stars are aligned.

I'm in love with the Provari. I haven't touched any other PVs since I got it. I think I'll be putting everything on the classifieds soon, or giving it away to smoker friends, minus a few choice V4L autos for when I want the ciggie vibe. Not gonna jump the gun though, lets see

will i get as much enjoyment out of a clearomizer/fluxomizer on my volt X2 or do I need a variable volt set up? what's the difference between a clearomizer and a fluxomizer?

clearomizer is just the general name thrown around for any cartomizer that has no filler in it, and that usually means the casing is clear

fluxomizer is gotvapes proprietary name for the CE2. I think the Ce2 was originally made by royal smokers. there are also CE2s that have a metal casing (same guts, but they're not clear )

You don't need variable voltage at all to use clearomizers. I used them on my Echos, V4L batts and Volt/halo batts for a while, exclusively.

I don't have an X2, but my uncle does, and I've used his, and he uses his, with fluxomizers and the clearomizer that smokeless image sells, usually called a stardust, CE4, or Iturbo. It works great!

If anything, since the coils with these units is usually at the top, its warmer, so you'll get a warmer more flavorfull vape out of the X2 than you would out of a standard smokeless image cartomizer. I remember the look on my uncles face when he had been using stock SI cartos for a month or so, and tried his first SI clearo lol. He hasn't touched a regular carto since.

808 battery with a 901 atty and cartridge. All this nonsense from the fact that we hated popping off the cartridge to top off or prime the atty. Gotta wonder if I still have a cart floating around somewhere.......I'm going old school. 2009 baby!

Looks solidly built. A modders worst nightmare. LOL! It's tough taking yourself off the market. I have a feeling I'm going to explode and spend a few benjamins soon.

Charlz, knowing you I would bet bengamins that you have carts stored somewhere. You never throw anything out.
I just found a review on the tidy clearos....the outer tube pulls off really easy, to easy....it may be a deal breaker for me.

I have to say, the number of hits I can get from a standalone .357 or an IO6 is absurd. Add a cartridge, might be heaven. Tank it somehow, it might be an orgasm lol.

Avid Vaper was working on a atty tank, but they delayed the release and I haven't heard any updates about it lately.
I actually have migrated away from my carto tanks as the 1.5ml clearos are working good for me.
I keep 5-6 with different flavors for that change up and 3 get filled with my all day joose.
Fill up in the morning and I can run all day/night.

The CE3 3ml, when it works, is a beast. I'm also kind of losing interest in high capacity tanks jus because I rotate and modify juices so often. My desk is a disaster zone and something had to give!

Hey guys,

Just noticed this thread and thought I would let you know, I've been using clearo's from the beginning and love them. I am a semi beginner and these new ones are really really easy for me. They also have the new, longer wicks which is GREAT, lol. I hate always rolling the thing around and you don't have to do it with these.

I get lots of stuff here. They have great, dependable batteries, good juice. It's a cool place. Brother and Sister team.

I would like to see a CE3/CV3 bottom coil with wire mesh instead of the normal wick material.
I think if it didn't leak that it would be the ultimate clearo.
