Clearomizers are terrible.

When I started, I started with an eGo-C twist and a Viva Nova. I got bored shortly after and dropped off. A few months later, I try again, and this time stop by the new B&M in town and get blown away by the flavor their RDAs gave off. So I picked up an RDA, got a mech second hand, built myself a Duke-style box mod and I've been dripping ever since. I just pulled out the clearos to have around for taking out, etc. They are all awful, giving off what seems like no flavor at all. Viva Nova's, Kanger T3s, iClear30, all of them are insanely muted compared to dripping...it isn't even worth filling a tank it seems.

Am I doing something wrong? Do things like the Aerotank and Protanks really produce significantly better flavor? What do Kayfuns put out in terms of flavor? I'd love to have a tank with plenty of juice to take out when I'm traveling, but I'm starting to feel the flavor punch of RDAs have ruined them.

Any suggestions?

Don't have experience with that so I don't really have a frame of reference. But the new build on the PT's was a big improvement. You could try a genesis with a tank, or kayfun style RBA's. RBA's are generally better than clearos. But it's going to be a hard act to follow if you are comparing them all against a dripper.

Once you rebuild your own coils, properly, there's no going back, most of the time. I went clearos, cartos, RTA's. Can't get them out of my hand. I have several nice drippers and do like it, but I do prefer the convenience of the tank and do get pretty close to the same vape...not quite, but close. Of course, I'm very satisfied with good flavor and good vapor. I don't need clouds at 22 Watts. If I did, I'd have to drip. About a week after I started RTA's exclusively, I could taste the filler in cartos and it just ruined it for me. I was very surprised by this and I have a really nice carto tank collection......now sitting idle. May be a Sophia in my future, but I do 3.1's and GT's all day long these days. Drip with Origins and the Taifun dripper. Making my own juice from day one helped too. Hard to beat DIY, imho. I hear you, and agree with you. For those that haven't had your experience, prefer an easier device, don't rebuild, and buy their juice, the Nautilus and Aerotank, both with AFC, are hard to beat. You can rebuild the Nautilus, though, and get a great vape (YouTube). It's not the tank, it's the coil/wick that delivers the goods. Best to you!
