Just curious....I love the clone/ authentic threads. People get pretty "passionate" about what other people choose to spend their money on....its kinda crazy.

I was just curious if anyone ever changed their stance on buying or not buying clones after reading one of the thousands of angry debates about clones vs. authentics.

My stance has remained steady since the beginning. I still don't care what you use.

I have never seen anyone state that their stance had changed, the discussion just seems to go in circles with the same points being made again and again.
Initially I enjoyed the 'discussion', but now I really cant be bothered with it all, it is always the same, rational people with logical arguments coming up against people with warped views on reality (which are either misguided or overly patriotic or both).

I am in the camp that says either sell your ideas to China, or simply get your product made there, that way everyone wins (apart from the "look at my expensive exclusive new bit of kit" brigade).

I like the progression of the arguments. At first, everyone's pretty rational. Gradually, they try to out patriotic each other.....then the economic gurus get fired up.....the stability of the world as we know it gets questioned......then someone points out that they're just trying not to smoke and ruins everything.

That would be funny though....in a political debate, for one of the parties to say "damn, you're right. I'm out!" I just hope its a democrat that says that. Lol

I think you mean "those" threads. "This" is a thread about the end result of "those" threads. I'd never start one of "those" threads. I read "those" threads but prefer to start "these" threads so we can all talk about the utter insanity of "those" threads. That should clear things up.
Yeah, English is not my first language, so I'm fine with you understanding even though it may not have been as clear as you would have liked it to be

No, I doubt anyone's arguments will change my stance :). I'm in my 40s. I know myself quite well at this point.

Above all else, I despise rudeness, which comes out in spades during clone discussions.

In the RTA area we tend to have dual threads, one for clones, and one for authentics. I don't necessarily mind that, although its often redundent. I do mind when authentic owners come into the clone threads to bash people. Its one thing to tell clone owners to get out out of the threads for authentics (still rude), but likewise, they should stay out of the clone threads then.

We do all get along peacefully in the Rose thread. Quite a few of us have both a clone and an authentic so that might be why.

I've changed my stance but it has nothing to do with what anybody told me. It has everything to do with the quality difference I just experienced from my first Authentic RDA. I'm not saying there aren't some clones out there that can be good but with the authentic, I know exactly what I am getting without taking a gamble.
