Been around as long as some of us and everything is a clone including 99.9% of the threads/posts.

I refuse to read your posts or any others from here on out. The hypocrisy of you and others using cloned alphabetic letters in the construction of your words fills me with rage. You should only use authentic letters. And furthermore, ... aw crap, now I'm doing it ...

i think my stance would only change if my income changed. Right now I still buy bunch of clone stuff cuz its more bang for the buck for me, as time goes on I haven't really 'changed' my views per say, more like I've tried enough things that I know what I'm going to like and am now saving up money to put into well made 'authentics' (If in fact they are better made, in some cases for me they are). Right now only my Mods are authentics, but with all my clone RDA's I've found I love the clone Science of Vaping RDA and I use it regularly, so I put in an order for the authentic SOD5k RDA with peek insulators and hopefully better screws (the clone I had insulator melting/rusty screws). Also put in an order for an authentic REMMod by REM creations, mostly cuz I love the simplistic look of it and the switch matching colors lol.

tldr; never really changed my personal stance on clones, I dont hate clones or authentic I just buy whatever is convenient for me of what I want/need/canafford at the moment. Don't really care what other people spend their money on as long as they don't tell me how to spend my money.

i used to not care what people used. i have a good collection of reliable mechs, i was raised to spend a bit more on something higher in quality. thought i may try a few out to test out authentic atomizer designs, wondering how representative of the actual experience it would be.
this year since super t closed its doors bc of the clone market and attitudes of vapers thinking they are being gouged i see clones in a more definitive light. i dont get the point? there are plenty of cheap a uthentics that are good quality. im sad that the vaping community will readily support companies that make a profit stealing other's designs. we are selling ourselves shoe by not supporting the company who produced the original product. but if people want to waste their money replacing clones, whatever. i have what i need and im sure whrn the time comes again i can build a decent collection of atomizers.
i resent the "i cant afford it" angle bc i dont make much money at all. I've lived on my own for $1200/month and i have still made it happen. i saved.
i dont appreciate the opinion that there is never any reason to buy an authentic piece and that they are actually comparable in quality.
hoe can we expect the future of vaping to get better if we will not support innovation?

While I agree with the sentiment, it should be said the lack of actual mods for sale at any 1 time drove many away from super t
. I mean seriously you can't expect someone to wait 6 months then f5 till the keyboard breaks. And maybe you'll get one. If i remember correctly mods weren't the only thing they did so there's lack of full investment into yourfield

There are so many other mod makers, while annoyed simply do there best to ramp up production.

It seems no matter how many cheap alternatives provape, reomods. Svoe mest,o vapor art, atmomixani. Even ultra expensive mod makers like petar k, mark bugs and rocket science mods. Have zero problem moving stock. Freaking mark b sells 200 dollar drippers for gods sakes, try and find one in stock.

I'm not bad mouthing the guy but there seems more at play other then the clones did it. I own both, I am a svoe mesto fanboy and will always buy real ones,( vaperev restocks sell out in hours sometimes) but I'm not waiting 6 months for a nemesis even though I do have a real 69.

Look at it this way, you walk to work everyday, you really want a Chevy yet the dealers all tell you we might have a few more in 6 months, maybe, you say screw that and buy a ford,

either you get it done or people go elsewhere

Just for reference for everybody, go to vapest.net look at the prices on this high calibre gear. Now notice how many are not in stock. Come back on restock day which how fast they say out of stock again

There will always be people who like nice things there will always be people who will never ever spend that much, ever, to chastise themfor not supporting companies that don't need there sale anyways is not worth it.

How come super t couldn't make a profit when provape employs 20 or so people, many highly skilled and well paid technicians, yet still makes bank?

Oh boy!..another clone thread disguised as a "debate about clones vs authentics"! I wonder where this will go?

And to Thrasher above: I completely agree with your comment regarding Super T. I have two of their mods, but getting them is ridiculous. The site says "In Stock" and you get your mod two months later, even though your credit card is charged immediately.

I don't have a problem with being patient, but don't mislead. If your site says "In Stock" I expect it to ship within days, not months. And the Super T fanboys will tell you that the anticipation is part of the Super T experience. I call BS, and refuse to drink the Super T Kool-Aid.

They did make nice mods, with some of the finest machining and best threads I've seen but I honestly think they were inept at running their business and that contributed to their closing. The Strada was a PR debacle, but that's a whole 'nother discussion.

Just curious....I love the clone/ authentic threads. People get pretty "passionate" about what other people choose to spend their money on....its kinda crazy.

I was just curious if anyone ever changed their stance on buying or not buying clones after reading one of the thousands of angry debates about clones vs. authentics.

My stance has remained steady since the beginning. I still don't care what you use.

Naaaa, I just create another click bait thread so I can watch my thread grow in numbers, is all...LOL

I don't really see a point to the clone/authentic threads. As long as your equipment works and fits your budget there's no reason to argue anything else.

I've bought clone atomizers from a local shop and that supports them, even though it's priced higher than an online shop. I also like to get my share of deals online. I can justify buying a clone because it's cheaper and most of the time gets good reviews.

I'd get authentic gear too, if it's value holds over time. I'm in the market for a mech and have been looking at high quality clones and sub $100 authentic mechs. If your dead set on clones or dead set on authentic gear, that's fine too.

I've changed my stance but it has nothing to do with what anybody told me. It has everything to do with the quality difference I just experienced from my first Authentic RDA. I'm not saying there aren't some clones out there that can be good but with the authentic, I know exactly what I am getting without taking a gamble.

Sent from my HTC One M8 Harman/Kardon edition

i have an authentic v2 hobo that came without a very crucial o-ring.
i also have 2 authentic v2.5 zeniths that i had to cut the threads on so they would thread onto my mods. the clone was perfect out of the box, 1/3 of the price and came with 3 different colored AFC sleeves.

it's hit or miss either way.

they are a side business. i don't think that clones are the only reason, but it was discouraging enough to mention it when announcing closing their doors. the reason why they were sold out for months is because they often did their manufacturing out of shop. an effort was made when they brought the machines in shop, but they still had their primary business to run. i expect the fact that it was not their only source of income is probably why. go look at some pictures in the shop, they only have a few machines. do you really think they could actually produce that many pieces each day?
i hear ya, though. i waited a long time for a super t device once i decided not to buy from a canadian retailer. lucky for me though i was ok with my ego- t battery and the p+18500. once they brought machining in their shop they seemed to have a really steady stock. the wait times are pretty notorious, as the presales are super competitive. as for the customer service, i have found it to be lovely. i've placed a lot of orders with them and i have never waited two months. :|
