I've had my v3 for a week now. I got the smok magneto on the same day and, although the magneto has been getting more of my attention, this is just a phenomenal device for less than $20. I got the "golden" version. It's extremely solid, the threads are awesome, you can completely disassemble the switch, it has a floating pin, AND it's extremely small. The v3 in 18650 mode is the same size as the magneto in 18500 mode. I think the v3 actually hits a little better, too.

This HAS to be the best mech for the price out there.

how are the threading on the 510 connection holding up. can they last if you're very careful with removing and putting on an atty. i dont really want to buy a 510 extender. defeats the look of the devices. ive heard of drilling out and pressing in a stronger built 510 connections. has anyone done that yet

I was worried about the threading at first, but I've been swapping between an AGA and IGO quite frequently the last couple of days. As long as you unscrew the top cap and then carefully screw it onto the atty instead of just screwing the atty onto the mod, you should be fine. It makes more sense to do it like that anyway, to make sure the floating pin fully extends.

Ibrahim is selling the silver pins for these, I've asked him for a quote and shipping details. If the price is right, I wouldn't mind spending a few more dollars on this mod to bump the conductivity up even more.

So... I'm at the fast tech check out and I don't know what battery to get for the Sentinel Clone V3. I've read a post in the earlier pages stating that they had trouble with flat top batteries?

I am planning to buy this battery: NCR18650PD $13.62 Panasonic NCR18650PD 18650 3.6V 2900mAH Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Does anyone use that exact battery in their sentinel v3 clone? It is about 1mm thicker than the CGR18650CH. I don't want this 1mm to render these batteries useless for this mod.

I got my v3 and my magneto 2 days apart. I'm loving both of them too. Unfortunately I got the brass/aluminum v3 because I thought it looked better. So the magneto feels more solid and better in my hand but the v3 definitely hits better. I just ordered the all brass one and I'm sure since it feels solid and hits better, that will be my go-to mod for awhile. :) I agree...this does seem to be the best mod for the price.

Got mine yesterday, and it's actually everything everyone could ask for, i think? It's a two tone with brass top and bottom caps, but the upper and lower sleeves are now stainless steel! feels and weighs rock solid, switch is amazing, so is the threads, and hits really, really hard!
I only bought this here locally so I wouldn't know if this version is available somewhere else.
