I just did... and maybe mine is a v2 or something, because it's either stainless, or the thickest chrome plating I've ever seen.
I'm sure you meant Pure Smoker Legacy!!! Right?
It has a different switch, finish, height per battery size, contacts and diameter. Exactly the same thing...
It looks more like a legacy and the button is similar. That said, the shape is different, the switch has differences (it's the same type as the microstick) and the top is different. The legacy didn't have a flat top stock and this one is much smaller than the aftermarket one made.
Just an option for those not wanting a counterfeit or to spend a lot of money.

I don't have a B&M near me. It's not about investing or not, it's about the choice to respect other people and their creations. I don't have an opportunity to get a Vela but I wouldn't buy a clone.
Also, how am I forcing anyone to match my standards. I am stating my opinions and thoughts just like anyone else in this thread. It's generally what people do on an internet forum. Discriminate isn't my word choice, I was mirroring the word choice in the post I quoted. Hence the quotations and my saying "your word", I wouldn't use that. I disagree with the choice to buy a counterfeit and of course that would inform my opinion of people on here who I only know by things like this.
You either don't understand how discussions work or you have a victim complex. No one is coming to your home and stealing your clone.
I appreciate any mod that isn't logo'd counterfeit. There are plenty of non-counterfeit mods in all price ranges that I am not into but there are plenty of people not into the mods I buy. It's not about $50 vs $200, it's about not stealing everything about someone's creation down to the logo.
I don't even know what to say about this. Sounds like high school. I am solely against counterfeits, which is not about the item's worth, so I don't really have this issue. If your friends have jordans but you have crocs and they look down you...find better friends?
Again with the victim complex, don't particularly care what you have, just think logo'd counterfeits are crappy. Describe this discrimination...it sounds more like wanting what other people have.
This one is easy, I've never sold an item for more than retail. In fact the only item I have ever sold for retail was a Noble 1 that I ordered when they first came out. I got it and didn't like it, too light, so I sold it for retail as it was brand new and sold out. I actually probably lost about 5 bucks with paypal fees. You can probably say a lot of not nice things about me but this is one that is pretty easy to prove wrong.
I don't believe in markups on used items, quite the opposite actually, so I don't buy or sell on classifieds at anything but under retail. In fact, I said that doing so was part of the problem earlier in this thread.
The clonemakers are providing for their needs actually.
We both only speak of one person's point of view, it's a condition of being one person. I am not sure I have everything in hand either. I've considered many factors or needs; counterfeits are not needed regardless. It's a choice which is why I don't feel bad about judging.
I can't afford a $35,000 rolex that I want but I won't buy the fake. Same choice
Well, as stated before, selling logo'd counterfeits is actually illegal in most places. There is a reason, it's an item that is based on stealing someone else's work. So I care based on that.
People don't need to do what I think is right, which is simply not buying counterfeits, they need to do what they feel is right. I am just a guy stating his opinion on an internet forum, like you.
Yeah, you are just stating your opinion, but dont compare mine to yours. My opinions are based on what I think in general, the posts that i made where for mine and my own opinions only, im not forcing or stating my opinion towards someone or somebody.
As for the term that I used, which is "discriminating" , well isnt it the truth? It's obvious that you are hating on the people who choose to buy clones because if you dont, you wouldnt have replied to one of my posts and battling almost everything that I mentioned on it.
So don't say that you're not "discriminating" because you certainly are trying to push people to not buy counterfeits. As for my opinions aren't totally asking people to support counterfeits, im just pointing out reasons why people "might" resolve into buying counterfeits.
And it is of course whether you invest your money on something that you think is worth that investment. Would you rather have a collection of mods worth thousands and thousands of dollars rather than buying 2nd hand car that will get you through everyday? Everyone has their own preference in terms of budgeting and obviously you dont consider that. Your main focus is that people shouldnt buy counterfeits point blank period, no matter what their reason is. Would you neglect someone of the chance to vape because of that? And it is their choice to buy counterfeits and not some low end authentic mod. Thats all im pointing out the whole time, not saying they should buy and support counterfeits but your whole argument is that they shouldnt because you think its disrespectful to the maker/inventor but you never know their sides too so you cant really assume that they are disrespecting the inventors, like what the other people are saying, they "could have" sold their blueprints/plans to these "counterfeiters" for mass production, who knows if these devices is really worth $300 or $50, we all dont know these facts except for the manufacturers themselves, but then again you didnt put this factor in your "opinions".
Another example is a Subaru BRZ and a Scion FRS, these two are the exact same thing, as in the exact same thing but they are being sold by two different BIG car manufacturers, would you say they are disrespecting each other then? Or one of them just shared their idea and willingly allowed the other to produce it knowing that it would affect the originals market sales?
I just did... and maybe mine is a v2 or something, because it's either stainless, or the thickest chrome plating I've ever seen.
I'm not asking you or telling you to do anything, I am stating my opinion towards an action. It's not really possible for me to think something is wrong to do and not have that affect my opinion of people doing it. I'm not telling or pushing people not do it, I am stating what I think. I can type that again if it's a hard concept.
Again, not talking about the amount of money spent, focusing on buying counterfeits. I don't need to know anyone's side but I'll give you one. "Other" people said the Kraken clone was exact and the modder had sold them to fasttech or his plans. Then the modder posted on facebook about the clone being crap. "Other" people say the modders could have sold their blueprints or whatever because that theory allows them to not feel like they are not buying a counterfeit. The modders aren't selling their designs to china to be cloned so I didn't factor that little justification fantasy in. As for the worth, it's subjective to each person. A lot of mods aren't worth their price to me so I don't buy them. That doesn't mean I would buy the clone.
Both of those cars are on the Toyota 86 platform which was designed jointly by Toyota (Scion is a Toyota brand) and Subaru. What does this have to do with anything? Why would a joint business venture be disrespectful?
They may have noticed the talk about it and changed their materials. Doesn't change the fact that they didn't mind sending it out and making money on it in the first place, with what were clearly plated-brass posts. You could even remove the screw from the post and see the brass inside (I had forgotten that little fact) on mine. There was much discussion in that thread regarding whether or not we should be using these things. I chose not to. Even in descriptions I read now for the IGO-L, they specify "stainless steel body and base." No mention of the posts.
This mystery-metal thing isn't unique to the IGO-L. ViviNovas, Evods, all kinds of "common" chinese attys have similar materials. Stainless is expensive to machine and they simply don't use it on what amounts to a disposable atty. They use chrome/nickel plated brass and sell it without mention of materials. Standard brass contains lead, especially at the surface. I'd much rather spend what amounts to the cost of a carton or two of cigarettes and know what I'm getting. Provided I don't lose it, I'll have the atty for as long as I want to use it, so the investment isn't huge.
Even Pbusardo, an honest vaper/reviewer, admits that he has opinions against clones etc, but also admits that he himself supported a clone outside of the "vaping world" where he showed a watch and said that he cant afford to buy a 35000 watch.
I think I did a very poor job explaining my stand. I also believe if you understood the details of these two transactions you would have a different opinion. This is part of the problem.
The car example, again, they both made the same friggin car, yeah sure it was a joint business venture, but it sure is disrespectful having the exact same concept car with just a different branding on it.
Do you have a learning disability? I can't actually get past this part in your post.
Wow... So we're not even trying to be respectful of each other anymore, huh?
I'm genuinely concerned about such a person blowing up a battery in their face.
They're metal tubes, not rocket engines.
