thing is too if i am not mistaken if he owns the patent on genny style atomizers and ever decides to stir the pot, he CAN come back at anytime and whopp a lawsuit out and theres gonna be a whole lot of companies out there going bankrupt paying him big bucks....LOL

I don't know if one can own a patent on a 'style'; even if one could, it would probably be a very short duration timeframe.

But anyway, I found Raidy's last post: interestingly, Raidy is from Germany:

Long time it has annoyed me that my idea was stolen and copied by others. Today I am pleased that the genisis so is at least a broad audience. And I do not get angry about it, but enjoy the success. Please give me more time. The next generation is coming, even before man lands on Mars.

That was 5 months ago, so maybe we'll hear from Raidy next year.

Excellent find. Just goes to show, high end mod makes may be mad that their designs are being copied now, but eventually they'll be happy that there are so many of them out there.

I see your point but using 'tires' as an example is not a good one.

We're talking about a brand and model.

A 'real' steam turbine ?

Yes, as in a 'real' Pirelli PZero

A tire isn't a 'real' tire because it is designed a bit differently?
A tire isn't a 'real' tire because maybe it is lower quality and lower price?

Yes, both the Bridgestone Potenza and Pirelli Pzero are tires. Yes they are designed differently. No problem.

What if the Potenza came after the Pzero and have the EXACT same pattern? What if Bridgstone slapped on the Pirelli Pzero logo on their tire?

There are logical arguments on both sides but your logic is somewhat too simplistic.

Cmon people, the OP asked if the clones are good, stop comparing clones and originals based on their copyright and legalization.

Compare their machining, quality and performance UNBIASED.

To the people saying that they "would have" gotten a clone but it has to be without the original's logo, its good if this suits you, but business is business, honestly, people wont buy clones (as much as people do nowadays) w/o the clone having the original's logo. First, it is somewhat of an "assurance" that the clone is close to the original in terms of machining, quality and performance. Second, yeah it wouldn't sell as much because of people in general.

Anyway, to the OP, I haven't had any originals at all since I'm budget minded but I can tell that there are pretty good clones out there. I cant really give a good comparison since i havent tried any original stuff too. All I can say is that you can go on youtube or search this forum for comparisons of an original and clone of a certain product.

If that was what you really thought, you should have your head examined, but no way; you are just poking for a reaction and hoping to sit back with some popcorn and watch the fireworks for the new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I notice that you didn't respond to my last post to you, edyle... Nothing to add?

I scrolled up and I guess you must mean this:

Excellent find. Just goes to show, high end mod makes may be mad that their designs are being copied now, but eventually they'll be happy that there are so many

If so, then first I guess there is a typo there right? - 'makes' was supposed to be 'makers' ?

And yeah; I hope modders would get a sense of fulfulment if their own contributions end up becoming popular; to me its like the proof is in the pudding; if you think you have a good idea, it's only a good idea if the idea actually takes off.

now making money off the supposed good idea is a compleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetely different matter; the fact of the matter is, some people are good with coming up with good ideas, and OTHER people are good at making money off of it.

where you draw the line is there's some people good at STEALING! but let's not confuse the issue.

You get what you pay for, clones will never be as good as real ones.

BAWHAHAHAHAH@Weiliwu78!

what is it thats not as good? cause the original costs more than most people make in a week after taxes?

bro, not to sound like an a**hole, but REALLY? i guess you just been buyin the el-cheapo crap clones cause, and i think several will agree, the quality of some of the clones out there are as good or BETTER than the original modders "authentic serialized badged" stuff.

you should check around more bro and do some physical hands on instead of reading the posts where this guy heard from his neighbors brothers uncles boyfriends sisters girlfriends brothers boyfriend said he heard from a greyhound buss driver when he was in frisco that this or that clone might be a piece of garbage cause he heard it from an internet armchair critic.....it isnt so bro. i just sold an original mojo chi you because my clone with the silver plated contacts was a nicer mod. far less imperfections, hits much harder, silver plated pins,ect....bought another chi you clone just like my other one and used the extra money i got from selling the original off to by vape gear for friends for xmas presents. i just got a new poldiac mod 1:1 clone today from Vape Royalty in the mail that is as nice as my buddies Poldiac RW. he paid like $300 for his, mine was around 69 bucks shipped priority mail to my door.

Poldiac Clone 1:1 Mechanical Mod

i bet i could walk into just about any vape shop in northern california with it and 99.9% of the socalled "
"experts" running the shops wouldnt know it wasnt a real poldiac!

hes pissin fire too now , i was razzin him cause he spent all that money, i got mine just as nice for less than a third of what he paid, i just spoke to him. what did the cloning of the Poldiac do to his mods value ? threw it in the toilet, thats what!....

do some research man, the quality cloners are comming out!...guns blazin!

You get what you pay for, clones will never be as good as real ones. You just need to ask yourself if the real ones are worth 10 times the price. I own some clones and are very satisfied with them.
^^^This. 100%.

In fact, sometimes the clones are even better than the originals. The kayfun lite clone, for example, has adjustable airflow. The original does not. The Russian 91% even lets you refill from the side, rather than from the bottom! The Hcigar Hammer clone has silver plated contacts instead of the original's brass contacts. The Nemesis clone is indistinguishable from the original. These are exceptions to the rule, sure, but just because something is a clone, doesn't mean it's inferior to the original.
