I sometimes question my sanity.

Sometimes, my sanity answers back.

Earlier this morning, I made a half asleep impulse buy. I bought a used unregulated mod.
1st unregulated ever! I've done SOME research, but won't be able to do anymore until after work.

Any information/tips/advice y'all can share regarding batteries, builds and safety, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A) what did you get?
B) a volt/ohms meter is a must!
C) I also like this gadget:

For those times when you're not quite sure, this device will provide a host of protections, allow you to measure voltage and voltage under load, an resistance.
D) get the best batteries you can from a reputable dealer. I recommend LG HE4 and Samsung 25R greens, but I have some Efest and AWR and PVTSO and Imren... even one trustfire that I only use with a very old 2.1 Ohm carto rig. It is honestly best to avoid anything with fire in the name, though...
E) get a good charger. Nitecore Intellicharger, XTAR, and LUC are good.
F) use a calculator. I'm quite fond of either Steam-Engine.org or Micro Coil Pro (Swiss)

G) make sure your contacts and threads are clean and smooth. Grit and grime can ruin threads or cause mod to get stuck
H) if the device has a locking ring, use it. I don't care if the spring or magnet is supposed to keep it from firing... one slip can really create a heated situation!
I) have knowledgeable friends that can write a lot of recommendations ;-)

Shawn - I bought an authentic Tuglyfe box mod simply because it is pretty. Came with a genuine Cubed wotofo dripper and Tuglyfe vapesox. I have since built a .3 dual parallel coil and it's working fine! I'm just not impressed and prefer my regulated mods, so I'm gunna sell it.

Best wishes for those in pain. I can sort of relate today: the water in my ear isn't causing any pain, but my stereo has gone to mono and I've been yawning all day trying to clear it. My jaw muscles are getting sore.

Have you tried cupping your hand over that ear, making a tight seal, while leaning your head to that side, then pulling your hand away quickly as to cause suction to pull the water out? Works well!

Sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't. After 40+ years of surfing, one thing I've learned is that sometimes you just have to wait it out.

Seen the comments about the cube thread on the other side and have to agree. Just went thru almost 60 pages and there wasn't really anything new. Bad enough that the same thing is getting asked over and over. Then there is all the guessing and speculation of what has been and will happen - most of that contradicts what has been stated by the officials. Then the thread is still getting spammed - wish folks would leave it alone and only post things relevant to that contest (and only facts).

That's my current rant on that matter.

Today I left the house forgetting to change my battery before I was already on my way to work. Very stressful day and I couldn't hardly vape. Not nice!
