Well would you believe I didn't go out to my mailbox yesterday. By the time I remembered, it was too dark to go all the way down the driveway. They were there this morning though. Pics in the pics thread!
I just have to say that the Gold colored tips (by Gigi) beauty just can not be photographed. There are gold ribbons that vertically go down a dark cream colored canals that looks like a piece of Gold tinsel. The pink/purpleish background area are also a canal where it seems that each canal is just a little different color. Like a dark orange, lighter orange, to a golden yellow. There is also some greenish glow horizontally. Oh and the purples and mauves are brilliant. It really just changes so much depending on how the light hits each area. Just absolutely awesome. No sunset could ever compare to it's beauty.
I don't know the names of the techniques used. but it looks like base colors had gold pulled through horizonally and that Gold leaf was either pulled down vertically with a golden yellow that just reminds me of a long slow drip from an ice cream cone. I just can't describe the magnificence of this tip.

Those shiny specs are dichroic glass. The same stuff they use on astronauts helmets just broken up and swirled around in the glass. The light I included activates the glowing glass immediately, and recently I have been trying to include a light with each glow in the dark TrippyTip! I'm glad you are loving your new selections!

I have to say I'm loving my Ouija DNA mod. The KFL looks great on it. My only issue with it is that the lid pops open way too easily. Anyone know where I can get magnets like those on the REOs?

I used to know, I bet ya can find some on ebay or amazon by looking up earth magnets. Yep I just looked on amazon and they have them, there was like 100 for $6 and I bet ya don't need that many lol.....

damselle, your orangey one kinda looks like a cousin of the fire vs. glow w/dichro, maybe? yours seems shimmier (say that 3Xs fast); it's pretty neat-o.
i really miss the trippy names/styles! "forest firefly," "plasma beam," "honeycomb blues," "cheddar lover's dna (ha!!)." those were pretty special touches.

Yes, same colors. Still, thers some quality to the glass that makes it look more "solid". The one you've got there, the colors are more opaque. I suppose it may be the kind of glass she used.
Hi Tipsters, Finally back home from hospital last night. I have a new hip in but there has been problems. I need lots of prayers at the moment. They seem to think I have a infection in the new hip which means a terrible new operation to fix the problem. Six weeks on my back in hospital and another 2 weeks recovery with a whole new hip in.
So far the lab has not found any infection with the samples taken at the time of the operation. It will take up to 6 weeks for any super bug to grow.
Ralf and Melissa (my daughter) have been wonderful but as you can image very worried about the outcome.
The Dragon Warrior is trying to be positive and keep my chin up. Although when the Doctors first told me I was a blubbering mess for hours..
Life is strange I just wonder when the bombs will stop hitting me.
Hope everyone in trippyville is well, I will start reading to catch up.
