IFTTT is an "if, then" statement or command that can allow end users to receive notifications of changes to a website.

There are many other functions.

I use Distill.io which is a great Web monitoring app. Let's me know within seconds when something goes back in stock or any changes I might want to know about on a webpage.

Wow, what is a IFTTT trigger? Also, not sure if you read or not but our mobile site lags behind the original so if you're surfing on your phone be sure to scroll to the bottom and click 'view full site' or you may be in for a healthy serving of Angry German Kid.

You make your own automated triggers with the formula "If This, Then That". The IFTTT services uses a web app's API to perform autmated function. They call each API a "Channel", which you can choose to activate and link your account. So for this example I used

If (Instagram user @ArtGlassDripTips posts a photo) then (Android Notifications create "Hey Bert Posted on Insta, go check TrippyTips!")

along with

If (Instagram user @ArtGlassDripTips posts a photo) then (Phone Call XXX-XXX-XXXX, say "Hey Bert Posted on Insta, go check TrippyTips!")

It's really a very helpful little automating tool, but sometimes can be limited. Depending what you have in your home you can have it change AC/heater, or turn on off lights, etc but set to cewrtain triggers. You could essentially have it change via the weather report, or if you get a text message, or an email, or tweet. Anything.

I have about 35 active triggers right now, I especially like the timer for Bedroom change to nightlight Blue and dim, or the 2am turn off all lights if forgotten, or make living room flash blue when new episode of Dr Who comes on. It also auto x-posts my picture statuses to Twitter, or Insta to FB + Twitter, and saves every picture I post to a Dropbox folder. Or when I reach a certain area (class) it would mute and set my phone to vibrate, when I leave the GPS location it sends a text to Kali that I am on my way and I love her. I really have only touched on the surface of its functions, but its a lot of fun.

One thing I have enjoyed is "Slice", which combs your email for Tracking #'s and shows all your packages, along with pictures of items, and when they are expected to arrive in chronological order. It also notifies you of shipment change (delivery, new city, delay) and of a price drop. So if the price drops on a recent purchased item you can request a refund to receive the new price. And it's all done automatically and structured for you. Much nicer than the triggers I had been creating using Boxoh, which required me to input each tracking number.

Bert. I'm once again only able to get shop gate up on my iPad. I keep clicking go to full site, but it won't do it. I've deleted the app from my iPad and cleared cookies/history. Why is this happening?

What browser app are you using? I would suggest trying Chrome, then selecting "Desktop View"

So is this a script that you wrote to do all that or is it through an app or something Cyclin?

No it's more automation made easy. You can add script function by setting a trigger on your PC, then having that run a script, for example setting Windows to monitor a Dropbox folder then setting a trigger to create a file in said folder, at which time Windows picks up the filename and runs the corresponding script, but I haven't really played with that.

For Android script automation you can set IFTTT triggers to trigger Tasker scripts.

But for the most part is easy, web-based, and can link to most if not all your internet powered needs, then tie those in with your phone as well. IFTTT app is on the Appstore and Google Play, and you can use it without a phone or access your account and create/delete triggers on IFTTT.com

Plus its free :)

I've deactivated the mobile shop for the time being so that only the full site will be available. This should fix the problem for you and anyone else who wants to participate today :) The mobile shop will be back once everything is synced and it has the same inventory as the full site again.
