Afternoon Tipsters, Well Ralf and I have arrived down the coast for a week over the Easter break. Wow we both need this rest and it's wonderful just lazing around and enjoying each other. He is such a special man to put up with me.

Thanks Sedge, Hopefully I will get better at making the cakes and decorating. She didn't mind and keep saying "Nana Fair" so she knew what it was supposed to be. To me that's all that matters. I just love that little angel. She makes me smile and get well.

I just got a (supposedly true) story emailed to me I have to share:
At the Palm Sunday service, the priest called the children up front to share the Children's Message. He asked them, "What do you know about the Resurrection?"
A little boy raised his hand and the priest called on him. The boy proudly said " If the resurrection lasts for more than 4 hours, you're supposed to call your doctor."
The entire congregation, priests included, collapsed in hysterical laughter for the next 10 minutes.

It's been a long week already... ER visits, lots of work, never enough sleep AND I chipped my most used Trippy Tip. When choosing which one to use instead I found I need more in that mini taper shape and remembered that I have several that I need to send in for some spa time.

ER Visits? What happened? I hope you're okay Sorry about your chipped Trippy. I haven't chipped one yet, which is surprising considering how many times I've dropped my PV with a Trippy on it!

I haven't tried anything of theirs yet. I'll have to check that out. Thanks

I hope all will be / are enjoying some bunnies and colorful eggs and peeps!

I am happy to report that I am doing much better. Not 100% but much much better. My eye redness resolved itself and I can taste my food again

Damselle, We usually go to a little New England-like island by us and feast on seafood My favs are the shrimp and lobster baskets! But I'm afraid I might still be contagious and think I should stay home.

Morning guys. Well, my weekend will be spent in yard work, studying for another test, and errands. Errands will all be today, cause I learned the hard way one year that everything closes on Easter Sunday!

Should be a sweet weekend weather wise in NE. I plan to enjoy this thoroughly!

I've had a great day today. The weather's finally lovely again just in time for Easter. I've enjoyed playing with Sophie in the yard for once, though I also got some cooking done. I've got friends coming over after church tomorrow for Easter lunch. My ham's cooked and my Green Pea salad's made up. All I have to do tomorrow is make the pommes daphinois (a fancy term for au gratin potatoes, lol) and biscuits (I cheated and bought frozen; I suck at making biscuits). BTW, all of you cooking Easter pork; the USDA has dropped the recommended temperatures on pork from 160 to 145. No more dry ham and pork loins!

Speaking of, last year I went with Bert in Chicago to a Greek restaurant. This year I dragged the crew from 5280 Vapor (Great juices BTW) and they loved it

I've got to admit, Nick, I don't have much experience with lamb. We just don't cook much of it in the South. Until recently, you couldn't even find it in any of the grocery stores. That said, it's one of those dishes that I love to order in restaurants. I'll still put my ham up against your lamb any day. Pork fat rules!

I love this mini gold tip. Haven't seen any tips with this type of glass. When it is clean it is mirror gold. Not gold colored, it looks like metal reflective and shiny. Is there anything neat to know about the glass used? Why does it look so metal?
Use it a bit, moisture from your lips gets on it, purple, green, yellow, orange, blue show up in an oil on water sort of way. Wipe it clean and it is a gold mirror again.
The second pic sort of shows this but is a poor example. I was not expecting this little guy (smaller than a penny) to be super awesome like this. I got him to investigate Delilah718's love of the mini tip.

These two are sweet as expected. Colors change dramatically with the amount, type, angle of light. The green one either has some sparkles in it, or very small bubbles that cause sparkles, and a nice vapor window (not shown).
The blueish one is like my cosmic ocean doughnut, will go from near clear to radical color explosion. The pic shows dark to clear range ok, but there are more colors that show up.

Like a few others here I have been sick as all hell most of my spring break and just feeling better in time for work and Easter company today. Sigh. I hope I have the energy and strength to do this today. I feel so sluggish. And didn't get to the gym all week either sigh. Hope your all well. Have so much to do today. Ttyl8r hugs all.

Happy Easter or Happy Holiday

I gave up cola for 40 days and at midnight last night I had a diet cola! It was like Christmas! I also gave up artificial sweetners and switched to a natural coconut palm sugar -- this morning's coffee with artificial sweetener felt like a treat too

Well lunch was a hit. I had a few friends over after church. The potatoes were a huge hit! They should be: I have yet to use a mandolin w/o cutting myself.

Happy Easter from Downunder. I am full of Easter chocolate and Ralf has mastered the Bread Maker so each morning we are having hot bread with Lemon Curd on it YUM YUM.
I am really just relaxing for the first time in ages. Still in my P.J,s after lunch. I feel so guilty but loving it.
