It's not as though I bought it to turn around and flip it. I've had it for several years. So, ya, Reid, I will have to get an rda for it or a tank coil set up. The other thing that bothers me is that the button is on the bottom, so if you want to set it down you have to turn it off. It's dang inconvenient.

The locking ring? Yeah, they're a bit annoying. I made the mistake of using Vaseline on my Nemmy; it hasn't spun since. One thing I love about my Fakir is it's recessed button; while I normally lock it before setting it down, I don't really have to. If you've never wrapped RDAs, I highly recommend getting a Coiler.
QVapes Coiler

Yeah, they're a bit pricey, and if you're handy you can make an equivalent yourself, but the quality of the coils I've built since getting one has increased exponentially.

Speaking of RDAs, if you go that route, I highly recommend the Magma. I've got the Infinite clone (I got it at Vividsmoke), but if you're willing to lay out the bucks, Vapor DNA has the real deal.

Morning all. Hope your week's off to a great start!
I just dropped Sophie of at camp, lol. It's actually doggy daycare. I've been concerned that she doesn't get enough exercise or socialization, so I found a place called "Camp BowWow" that seems perfect. The people seem nice and the best thing is that they have web-cams. I've been watching Sophie since I got home and she seems to be having a great time!

Link didn't work on the coiler, but I was able to pull it up with a search. Looks cool. Do you just turn the pin to coil?

oh yeah. That magma is some bucks! I'm going to get two Nuppin's from Pdib when they come in. 2 of those will cost me less than the magma...so far all I've used is the RM2 that Sedge gifted me, so I have nothing to compare.

Morning all. Hope your week's going well.
Dam, the screw is for holding the end of the wire taut. You wrap the wire around the post (it comes with 4 or 5 posts, I can't remember which, running from 1 to 2.5 mm). I know nothing about nuppins, lol. I have to admit I'm using the Magma clone, because I wanted one with the copper airflow control, which the original doesn't have. Speaking of which, I got a TOBH yesterday for my 26650 (can you call it a clone when TOBH doesn't actually make a 28 mm version?). All I can say is DAMN! I can't believe how big the well is on that monster! The flavor's not as good as my Magma, but I knew that would be the case going in (not to mention that the salesperson at the shop reminded of it as well). One thing I like about the B&M I got it from is that they do a free build when you buy a RBA from them. She built me a dual-coil at .8 ohms and used a product of theirs called "Tiger Tail" for the wick. Here's the link:
Tiger Tail Wick 5ft

I have to say I'm impressed so far. Now all I need is a trippy cap, lol.
BTW, Bert, I'm with Mike: what's the word on the trippy tanks for the KFLs?

For comparison, here's a review of the micro-puck:

I haven't seen the MP, and since Todd's review was of the prototype, here's a pic of my coiler with one of the posts screwed in:

Some thoughts:
The coiler is definitely smaller than the MP, and it fits easily in my tackle box when the posts are taken out.
It's nice that the MP allows you store the posts inside the device. Though I just store them in the same slot in my tackle box as my coiler.
The coiler has 5 posts; the MP has only 4, not that it really matters. I've only used the 2.5mm post so far and I can't imagine me using more than it and the 2.0 (I can't imagine me trying to get a wick through a .8mm coil, lol).
The coiler has the diameter of the posts engraved on the base of each post. Again, since I use the same post all of the time, not really an issue.
The coiler has a 510 connection that allows you to mount your RBA on it. I don't actually use it though; I typically build my RBA on my ohm meter and/or my device.
To put my wire on the Coiler, I bend the end and place it under the screw. On the MP, all I see is yet another tiny hole I have to thread a wire through.
The MP might waste slightly less wire than the Coiler, though if you look at my pic, they've moved the screw nearer the post than in Todd's review. Since I buy my wire off of Ebay by the 100ft roll, I don't really care.
I can see how having the wire flush with the base of the post in the MP might make it slightly easier to wrap a perfect coil.
They both seem to cost about the same.
In short, either of them should make wrapping coils easier for us newbies of those of us with poor hand/eye coordination. :D

I have the Qvapes coiler and love it. It's really simple to use and I don't waste any more wire than I would using a small screwdriver or drill bit. Like Reidus said I only use the 2.5 or 2.0 post and I store them with the base in a small velvet pouch in my coil building box The puck thingy looks cool though.

BTW, here's my Fakir in action with my BA TOBH on it:

BTW, BA stands for "Big ...". :D

Wow I have one of the 28mm tobh on my deskbox passthrough, it weighs more than the passthrough! With the full 26650 set up do you feel like taking to the streets to fight evil?

LMAO! As I was carrying it around today I actually thought it'd make a useful weapon if I ever got mugged. Just call me the Lone Vaper! :D
