Good Afternoon Trippyville and the greater Trippy Nation,
I hope everyone is having a good Good Friday (Reidus )
I am looking forward to some Trippy Mail before too long that will bestow upon me a Loki Lipstick Trippy. I've been coveting those few tips made from that glorious material and finally a specimen will join my collection. I still need to update my storage table or convince somebody in Trippyville to give up one of those half-rounds. I really love those original tables in case anyone decides they no longer need their's...:nun: Brew

Woohoo! My trippys came in today! Pics coming.
Back to the sub-ohm thing, I just re-wrapped my sub-tank to 1.3 ohms At 12 watts, it puts out a perfectly acceptable amount of vapor, but I find the taste is improved and it's cooler than using the same voltage on a .5 build. I'll still give the nickel heads a try, but I'm pretty sure I'm out of sub-ohm vaping.

Well you discovered what I read/discovered long ago and that is the lower the wattage the cooler the vape and the better the flavor using lighter juices. I can't say I ever experimented above 4.2V since even my VV Grands were set to 4.25V and left at that level. I think the tobacco folks prefer higher wattage to bring forward the darker notes but for me and my fruit flavors, less than 14 watts is ideal. Doing "voltage squared over resistance" @ 4.2V squared(17.64) when divided by 1.3Ω, I get 13.57Watts. To me that is exactly the sweet spot for my liquid choices. In the morning, my coffee vape is usually set a little lower at 9W and that keeps the vape nice and flavorful....I might bump it up to 10W with a full pot of coffee on the weekends as I notice I want a bit denser vapor as I go through successive cups of coffee. I NEVER liked a warm/hot vape so YMMV. My other mods are mechanical so I've always had less than 4.2V through the day. Late at night, I go back to a regulated mod and it's almost always set at 12-14W with a 1.3-1.5Ω coil. Brew

Good Point! Being a MTL hitter, I never open up the AFC beyond about 1/16" so airflow is very tight. I recently tried lung-hitting with the AFC wide open on the Nuppin and oh my does that result in a ton more vapor. Didn't really notice the heat though as I was still using the same coil and wattage. I do remember trying a shorty 1.5Ω HH357 and was frustrated by the lack of "Holy Grail" flavor that everybody posted about. Went back to the longer 2.0Ω HH357 and 2.0Ω Vapage atties and found a much better vape. I stayed with 2Ω atties until I got my first RBA.

I see that my Trippy Tips are out for delivery so I'll be rockin' "my precious" while at the family-reunion we always attend for Easter. Chicken and Noodles, Ham and all the fixin's with a healthy dose of cocktails before dinner and craft beer or wine to compliment the meal. My family is a collective of fun people and I always look forward to showing off my latest e-cig technologies and collectibles. Have 2 older converts who use eGos and protanks that I'll hopefully convince to try iTastes and Nauti tanks. They always love the Trippies and each has at least one! Sharing was required since I can't get either to go on-line :-x At least they have a decent B&M nearby.

So I hope everyone is having a great day and sending my best to all for this Holiday weekend. Brew

I think a big component of Heat is airflow. My .5Ω Atlantis at 40w is much cooler that the 1.5Ω 306 atty at 14w. And that Atlantis is cooler than the Sub Tank at 28w.

Christos Anesti !!!

Happy Easter to all the Merry Tripsters :)

My newest and as always, beautiful work....Again thanks Matt and Bert !!

My #1 pick! I had a guest in house for the weekend and lost sleep, when she left I thought I'd take a little nap before the sale and zonked out for like 5 hours lol...The stars were aligned for you that day my friend.

Tell Matt(or did you make that one Bert?) to make some more tips in this style please :D You can go ahead and send me one, consider it a blank check.

Good morning Trippyville,
I hope everyone is having a great Friday and looking forward to the weekend. I finally got to posting in the classies yesterday and will be shipping out (3) atties and (2) REOs w/ RM2s to new homes. I'm even breaking in some of the uninitiated with some Trippy Tips to sweetened the deals. If any one is looking for a good deal on a standard REO Grand (Silver Vein), a pair of Budz Worx ERA RBAs or a pair of Microsticks, let me know. All three deals are posted currently. Mrs. Brew is happy because she's been wanting a couple of benches for our front porch and I told her she could use the PayPal balance to make it happen. Baby needs a new pair of benches  Brew

Good Morning Trippyville,
Well everything was going so well and I even got a buyer for the Silver-vein... That's were my evening went to :censored: as I fat-fingered one of the letters in our PayPal email address. Mom was having an issue and her care-giver came over to get our help. I didn't proof the PM and sent it on with the wrong address. The buyer sent the payment and of course it didn't show in my account. The buyer is being quite gracious but it's just killing me that she's now going to have to wait until PayPal clears the funds. Thankfully the funds had not been claimed and she was able to cancel the transaction. Just can't throw myself in the dirt hard enough to make this right. :-x I hope you all are doing well or at least better than me. Brew

Brew, don't beat yourself up too badly; it's happened to all of us at one time or another.
Hope y'all had a great week. As foe me, the pollen caused me to develop bronchitis, so I'm not at me best ATM. That said, I've figured out that, just like when I smoked, vaping menthol helps open things up. Luckily, I've come across an amazing menthol juice just in the last week: Frozen Pond by Quack. It's 100% VG and is actually a creamy menthol, if you can believe it. It's really the best menthol I've come across (and I don't count mints like Bowden's or Nebula as menthol). I've got it in my Magma atm; haven't tried it in a tank yet. I'm kind of leery of using all VG juices in a tank. Does anyone use an all VG juice in their Kayfuns?

Hey Reidus,
I'm vaping a 100% VG in one of Berts plasma right now. Just rewicked since I finished the standard KFL+ tank fill and pulled everything apart to move over to the plasma on this dark star as well. Now have my late night raspberry mojito (100% VG) and my morning coffee vape (Kona Velvet Milkshake clone 100% VG) in plasmas and they do quite well at wicking. Thanks for the kind words but I HATE making a mistake when it matters. Ya know like pulling the grenade and throwing the pin kind of scenario  Brew
