I too would love to see the Ti and both grades of aluminum side by side. Magnesium definitely should be considered. Wonder what would be the result of anodizing it? ;)

Looks like magnesium is a bad idea unless TBev is going to start molding and casting it. Magnesium machines poorly due to its coarse granular structure along with a few other glaring issues.

Maybe pure magnesium is difficult to machine, but the typical alloys used machine wonderfully.
From the same wiki page Magnesium alloy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A particular attraction of magnesium alloys lies in their extraordinarily good machining properties, in which respect they are superior even to screwing brass. The power required in cutting them is small, and extremely high speeds (5000 ft per min in some cases) may be used.

All the cast magnesium I've dealt with had significant machining after casting. Flanges cut, shaft holes drilled, attachment holes threaded, etc. Same as with other cast parts (iron or aluminum)

Does it make sense for a mod? No, but neither does titanium or stainless steel.

Well anything makes sense if ya wanna pay for it .. that's pretty much what it comes down to. I like mag for sure, but its generally expensive that's why its not used very much. I dunno much about the ti coating, personally I like the colors that you get from anodizing titanium. I'm assuming it's thin, so it would be fine to use, you'd prolly want to sand it off of the top of the body and the bottom of the lid for conductivity reasons. It's a little blingy fir my tastes but to each his own.

I never meant to imply differently.

Sterling sliver with a nice thick plating of pure silver.
Go for 10k gold* with a 24k plate (is 10k strong enough?).

Way out of my price range, but to each their own.

*save all the shavings though. Certainly help on the cost if you melt them and sell back the left over.
Probably cheaper to make a mold and cast than machine for a solid block.

Hey Lex, here's one I did in white a while ago, this was the only pic I could find. . Afteer that I cut the squonk holes out so they were bare aluminum..it looked killer.

Been busy chain vaping this thing, cap is prolly cloud to red hot and the the tip it's ice cold...perfect!
I like it. A lot. You gonna be producing those as well? Maybe throw one of them in with my mod :) lol.

Edit: methinks you can actually pop one of them in from the underside and have it act as a chamber reducer if you leave a wider lip at the bottom....but what do I know.

I would but I have my hands full with the mods, yours actually ! I wanted to do the whole cap in titanium . . .I still may, but I dunno, I've been using a delrin cap for the marquis I made as well... I take a pic in a sec. . I made it out of a 7/8in. Rod and the walls are so thin you can see thru it...well with this red unicorn blood I've got in it anyways.

Na, I run delrin caps on every atty I have, never had one melt, I like em bc theyy are lighter and make for a cooler vape , they also don't retain heat so when you get after it hard it stays cool. The stock marquis cap w the delrin tip I made for example, the cap will get hot as helll and the tip stays nice n cool.
