Even though I don't understand it (and I'm part German) the pictures say it loud and clear brother. Great tips. Thank you.

Don't forget the Hungarian GP this weekend boss.

Having just gotten a Qtip and dipped it in some lemon juice, I swabbed the bottom of the positive contact. It pretty much dissolves the oxidation in seconds. Then I just wiped it off

First I chucked a small piece of white eraser in my drill and buffed the positive contact to remove any light scratching I had previously made in it using the fine grit. Then I chucked a longer piece of eraser in my drill and buffed the bottom of the battery tube.

Swabbed it with some lemon juice on a Qtip. Then removed the shavings. I had to use a rolled up paper towel to get them out and a little alcohol.

The mod hits better than brand new and that's hard to imagine.

So once that positive contact is buffed out, just a lil lemon juice makes it new. I tried it with the contact in place in my other one and it worked beautifully. I will remove it and buff it once the sunbox bottles arrive.

Thank you for the tips my German brother from another mother.

Next time I buff the bottom of the tube I will Chuck a pencil in the drill to make it easier.

Why don't you do a video on the care of a TMOD????? Sounds good to me.

I'm confused. Do you need both the lemon juice and the eraser?
I used the eraser to remove my previous light scratching / marring of the contact caused by micro grit sand paper. I believe once you have the contact smooth, only lemon juice will be required if you do it fairly regularly but I don't know - yet. I'll keep ya updated. I've become a contact fanatic cause I'm an efficiency freak :)

According to those in the electronics fields, smooth contact surfaces are much better conductors and less prone to future oxidation.

Edit - you will need to use the eraser on the negative - the bottom of the battery tube at times I believe as well.

I'd love to but we don't want the world looking under the skirt of the TMOD.

Really, it's so simple (I mean c'mon, I did it) that no vid is really even necessary.

Remove positive (copper) and brass pin and place for 5-10 minutes in lemon concentrate. Clean battery ground (negative) with fiber pen. More must not be done

The lemon juice, applied with a swab works well with the contact left on the mod too :)

Translation:
Die Zitronensaft, mit einem Tupfer aufgetragen funktioniert gut mit dem Kontakt nach links auf der mod zu :)

Email incoming dude ;)

As this thread is so long and I don't have time to go through it all I will ask here. Do I see correctly in that there's a regulated TC squonker available and if so can I see a pic?

Thanks guys
Agreed... New pics, progress report? I'm thinking I would have to buy the machine to make the faceplates myself if someone made me wait this long. Not criticizing but I hate relying on others. This is a million dollar idea being squandered by a sub-contractor. Send me an email "T", I have a guy that could help.

I've been wiring up all the board's for a few days now. I haven't even bothered with the faceplates in a while. I got about half done then I discovered this really bad ss military spec Teflon wire so un did the ones i had finished ans started over with the new wire. I'm almost done with wiring the board's all up. ...again.
