I haven't found a place to buy colored bottles from but I've been using black ones I get with juice in them and I like the way they look. I think they wood look cool in the black mod.

I'm so excited!!! Been drooling here long enough. LOL Can't wait and anytime you want to do pics of her progress that would be great. I thought that I saw some brass bullet casings on here somewhere. Do you do have those for buttons?

Oh yes most definitely a brass casing! That would look awesome! I like the coloring on the brass better and I think that it doesn't patina quite as quickly as bronze either. Not that I mind polishing [emoji6]

I can't do anything to change the squonk holes. Back in the beginning, I went thru a ton of different ways to cut them out. I settled on the way they are done for a number of reasons. The bottom line is it simply works the best this way.
The way it is now I can't just add another cut to remove the center vertical, nothing would line up nicely if I just cut it off. Additionally if I just cut a chunk out like a 3d printed feeder, it wood look like I just cut a chunk out of the side, you would lose the angles and it wouldn't look/function as well. I have one, I like it, but you have to squeeze that bottle harder to get the same results as you do with my feeders. It's because the bottle is allowed to move away vs. being held tightly in place.

Roger that. Do what you do. Can't knock a guy for trying.

If possible, I would like to take you up on those black bottles though.

Juice mafia, not the greatest juice but my dad likes it so I get it for him...well that and the black bottles of course. 100ml for $25 to so check it out but the ten ml bottle are what your after, I haven't made any 50ml squonkers ...yet lol.
I'm liking into more black bottle right now.

I saw that coming. I have lost a bunch of drill bits to copper posts. I can't even imagine fly cutting or worse yet boring copper.

Is the rod SS or Ti? I have Ti and 7075 rod on the way to you btw. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. Still hunting for 7068 however, it WILL happen. I'm a metal junkie. Thoughts on Damascus or mokume? Heavy? Sure! Awesome definitely.
