Can anyone ( @Tbev ?) help me out on this one. My mod collects dust; I'm hesitating to use it because it's such an effort for me to press the button down. The shorter black button already made my live a little bit easier, bending the spring, too. But there must be something else I can do (or buy). Help, please.
Thanks again for all your suggestions which included:
- A Magnet: "Did you try a 10mm x 1mm magnet under the neg of the battery?" (via @Doffy)
- Bending: "you might be able to get by taking the top off and pushing the button as far in as you can. Do this a couple times." (via @Asbestos4004 @Tbev)
- O-rings: "Remove the button from the top and slide the O-Ring down to the base of the button, replace & test" (via @MFToms59)
I already knew about…
- … cleaning the mod to ensure that the conductivity is maxed out, (via @WharfRat1976)
- … being careful with 'spring battery distance adjustments' because I don't want an auto-firing mod
The O-ring solution is the best so far. However, the problem (at least for me) still persists. The spring is so rigid, it just takes a certain amount of force to bend it and make contact with the battery, no matter what. Shortening the length I have to press down doesn't change this fact
As a chain-vaper which already has to deal with RSI (not thanks to vaping, but this is the direction I would be heading with the button as it is), I don't want to risk my other hand.
In short: As much as it paints me, I have to part with the mod. If any of you is interested in a yellow Tmod, send me a pm.

You haven't seen the Dually huh, it's a dual parallel, it's about as small as you can get too, the 10ml single cell mods have a little extra room in them, 1st bc b they have an allen key, that's takes a little space. But other than that there's like 0.050in in between each cell and the front cell and the bottle, that's pretty thin. There's a little extra on the outside perimeter but not a whole lot, the Dually is small, it hits, you really notice the aid with the battery sag due to the two cells under 0.3ohm.Here's a brass dually, dual parallel 18650/10ml, I wouldn't go less than ten ml on the parallel or you'd have to fill instead of swapping cells.![]()
