Ummm..for one thing it definitely needs lower nic than what I'm using (I mix my juice at 12 mg nicotine). I'm a flavor junkie and my vape is MTL...which the velocity mini was not made for really. My usual build is a 1.2 ohms single coil, which is brilliant on the VA Cyclone, because I can do MTL. In my first attempt on the velocity mini, I tried a 1.2 build with 26 gauge kanthal and slapped it on my Reo and the lung hit was too much for me to bear even with the airflow almost totally closed. The flavor however is really crisp and very pronounced! I will give it another try tomorrow with a 3mg juice that I have lying around. I am expecting outstanding flavor, but I guess it will really shine with a dual coil maybe at 0.6 ohms or lower. I'll keep you guys posted.

Never owned any of the velocity clones. But on my velocity flavor is lacking. The best vape I have got of it for flavor is dual parralell 24 gauge 5 wraps 3.5 mm build rod. Haven't vape that rda for a month but I beleive it's in the .06 range is a vertical build for this. Horizontal parralell does not capture the leads right because it smushes together and they cross but vertical they lay flat above and below each other. Only thing even close to it is a 24 gauge 30 gauge clapton I made 4 wraps 3.5 mm bu old rod. The best thing about the velocity is huge choice in air control so build high build low adjust with air. Is the most universal builder ever in my opinion. I have put every build I know how to do in my velocity very few I have enjoyed. To me is a super low ohm or go home kind of rda. Is not a flavor chasers rda which I am. Carefully with the parralell I mentioned if u build it she's a beast.

From what I read and the reviews I've seen the Velocity mini is better than the bigger version, especially in the flavor department. Too early to tell though I just bought it today :) But I can tell that the flavor it gives is really crisp. It could be that the smaller size of the mini gives better flavor.

Rick buddy..you're a real Gem! You're truly my Squonking Godfather! Since I got that first Reo and VA Cyclone & AFC from you, I haven't looked back! And with the tmod and the rest of the stuff you sent me I don't think I'll ever will. I just got a velocity mini that I'm building right now, but I don't think it will compete with the cyclone in the flavor department.

I can confirm that dot only does the TiMi function as a fantastic shower vaping decide, it also goes very well with a white, Green Valley Ranch bathrobe.

Velocity Mini..Take 2:

OK..so I made a 0.6 dual parallel with 26 gauge kanthal and used my 3mg nic juice on the Velocity Mini in dripper mode (not b/f mode). Put it on my SXmini @50 watts, airflow roughly 2/3rd open. Massive, dense clouds, and the flavor is really good for such an airy vape. Not really my kind of vape, but I can live with it and maybe go for it once in a blue moon. At 60 watts the vape is still good, but too warm and the TH too strong for my taste.

My experience with the very same build on my Reo (the only Squonk mod I have for now till my new vape mail arrives in a few days) was not that impressive. The juice well has some good depth to it and it was designed to retain rather than drain eliquid (the squonking/drainage hole is on the top of the 510 rather than in its side, and the 510 screw comes out on an elevated platform that divides the juice well). This suggests that it is an RDA with the b/f option, not really a b/f RDA.

Overall it is a very good RDA that I'm gonna keep alongside my other drippers. I think it might be a better b/f atty on top the dually or any other double 18650 squonk mod. I'll give it another try when my vape mail arrives in a few days.

Sounds a bit like the Kennedy 24...tons of air but still great flavor. I'm stoked my Velocity Mini will be here in a couple days!

the best thing Tamer is to try all diff kinds of builds.i let my 1st and 2nd stumpy's go...then re bought 1 back and tried the single coil down the middle and VIOLA its a great atty for me now and have 3 of them in rotation along with my derringers -Rick
I'm glad you mention the z-coil because that's exactly what I plan to try first on the Velocity Mini. And the Stumpy, lol.

I fully agree Rick..I still have to play with it a bit more...just wanted to share my first impressions with you guys..I can tell it's a good buy..but I'll play with it some more when my vape mail makes it to Cairo. BTW..I can't wait to try the O-16 that you sent me! :) from what I read on the O-16 thread it's a wonderful little thing..and if it's any close to the Cyclone I'll be one happy camper

with mine i took the firing plate and slid the heat shrink off and used my handheld mini grinder and did an hourglass shape to the plate and reheated the shrinkwrap back on and it made it a whole lot easier to press and fire.with a lil mod like the micro i didnt wanna have to use much pressure to fire the lil thing.

i didnt wanna try the split down the middle of the plate cuz its so small and to be honest im working at my kitchen table...lol.im really using the crap outta this lil mod.i may have to get a few more bottles and caps from ya when i get some DT;s awesome lil workhorse for sure!

Question for all you longtime owners of these great mods. Has anybody had to trim their 510 pin? My bottle cap hits the pin and I kind of have to push down on the cap to screw it back together. I screwed the pin down so my atty is almost touching the top cap.
Shoot me a pm and I'll get you taken care of.
