I got the SS to work in temp control finally but it reads about 130 degrees hotter than NiFe30 for an identical vape.

Are you using the Escribe software for NiFe30 with NiFe52/48? Similar to the stuff kidney puncher sells?
I'm using the Dicodes wire NiFe30 and it works perfectly with the software. I read somewhere that the temp coefficient is very different between the different formulations.

Yes, I use eScribe and the Steam Engine TFR/TCR "Nifethal 52 (Alloy 52)". I should say something about the differences betwixt the two:

When we started the exploration, some time ago, there were three camps: 1. The purist who only wanted the best wire option; 2. Folks with or reporting allergy to Nickel; 3. People who wanted to get fast and far away from the vagaries of Ni 200. I was in camp "3".

When the question became which of the Nifethal(s) was preferable I choose 52/48 from Zivipf despite having to order from Germany. There were no US vendors at the time.

I remain satisfied with 52/48 because (a) I trust the sourcing and (b) it is durable (I believe more durable than 70/30).

When the subject came up last night I went back to double check the TCR differences. (See below.) Although a higher TCR is desirable the difference is not enough of a trade off for durability.

TCR known wire types from the "TC Beyond Ni 200..." thread:

@jazzvaper I will try to collect the TCR for all the known wires.

304: 0.00105
430: 0.00138
410: 0.00155 - this value hasn't been verified yet

I don't have the chops for such. If anyone makes a set of screens I would be glad to implement them.
When I got the prototype, I tried to make screens but I couldn't get the catfish logo to look right.. Would probably be easy For someone with graphic design skills, something I do not possess

I hope,I'm not the only one that's bewildered.... where would one buy the Nifethal52? Kidney puncher had the nifethal70 but their numbers are very different than yours. It would seem you have done a lot more research and testing than KP, very interested in your findings and hypothesis.

Russ made my current logo with a lot of input, I know what pops but when it comes to mixing it all together I'm lost. I sent a bunch of pics and the colors I wanted and he took it from there, that said my logo is worthless for a single color low resolution image as required by the use in question. I would go back to the same well but I'm not certain he would even answer the phone as we have our differences over the last year.

The more I vape on this beauty the more I like it! :hubba: And did I mention that it looks sexy as heck!

But it is missing something.....a big ole Goon with matching blue top cap so I can put some of Raymo's big framed stapled Clapton coils in it. :D

528 and I are having technical difficulties. They say I'm all set up but every time I log in everything comes up retail. They did tell me the Ti goon and the colored caps are not eligible for wholesale.

If you would happen to have a velocity 1 or 2 collecting dust you should try it with dual vert coils. Rocking mine right now at 56w and loving it like never before. Now it's time to dig out those attys that just laughed at your dna40s and single cell sx350s. Show this big bastids who's boss.

That is on the second charge. ;) First time it was at 17% and I just put it on again after it hit 14%. :)
As I mentioned a few days ago; once the battery has been cycled a half dozen times or so you will notice it will charge a little faster and hold more charge. On my expensive wiz bang charger that I used to use on the cam-r prototypes I got 946 mah into the cell, #2, 3, and 4 were the same within 25mah. By charge #10-12 1157mah per cell.

Go easy on that one.... 50w was about as high as I could go without getting that charcoal vape. Compared to most of the attys of the last year the Marquis is a little short on air. 48w is nice though.
