For Stumpy folk:

You know the adapter thingy that lets you use a standard DT? It's loose (to the point of falling out) on one of my attys. Does anyone know what size those O-rings are? And, does anyone have a source for Stumpy-fitting DTs (that don't require the adapter)? TIA!
I have a bag of the o rings, I also have those adapter pieces in white Teflon and black Delrin. They were called cool rings. I bought 10 of each thinking they would be a hit and sold maybe 15 of them total with 600 stumpys.

The big Goon rocks the big coils and power. For anything below say 60 watts, the 22 is going to win in the flavor dept. ;)
This guy should know.... If you get used to the goon on a mech you will love the 9v and 200 watts of headroom on the LBC. Still the only one on ECF with all 9 volts..... Makes a huge difference when using attys like the Narda. As I mentioned I'm rocking a Narda on an e9 (dna40 9v capable) and at 39 watts I'm right at 5.99v across a .94 ohm coil. On a 133 or a 75 I would be bouncing of the limiter at 39w. That's why I didn't cut the size down to a dual cell. This is how I vape....

Chi-Narda's!! But what does ported mean?
Welcome back Pennysmalls... On the ported Chi-NardO I match the holes in the afc to the holes in the deck and flare them out slightly. The matching will give you full airflow plus a little when opened al the way up, the flaring of the ports cuts the noise (whistling) in half or less. Not to mention even the non ported ChinardA has a 1.8mm squonk hole (vs the 1.1 on the authentic). I love the Narda as is but I did have complaints; too loud, hard squonking and terrible drainage, and slightly short on air, the ChinardO fixes all of those issues with no down sides other than to get back to normal you will need to close the afc 10-15%.

I usually build with 28 and sometimes 26 ga kanthal. When the bottom-fed Nardas first came out, they sold out and I saw many WTB posts in the classies. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I expected that my first Narda would knock my socks off with a intensely flavorful, tight air vape. When I got a so-so vape with my first build, I dismissed the Narda hype and traded it away for something that always worked for me, another Stumpy.
Looking at how the air is directed precisely to the coil, I knew that coil height would be critical. But was simply too lazy to play with narda after the initial build. I'll try to be more patient this time around!
I'm thinking the Chinarda with a 5 wrap 3mm 28g would have you right where you want to be. I would go very slightly spaced.

On a mech I would lean towards the goon 22 honestly unless she like a lot of air. The Narda with its single coil can be tricky to balance heat up time and output. Either goon will be child's play. On a regulated (even the lowly dna40) the Narda sings with a 3mm Id coil and 26g. I'm rocking an E9 monster at 39w with the ported version right now and it's awesome. 47w on the LBC is better but I like to check out my competition.
I got my narda on her tmod with 7 wrap 22g kanthal 2.5 id ohmn out at .37 wicked with cotton bacon and its awesome , no spitting , great flavor and we both love it. As for the lbc i will have the funds on the first week of october, ive been saving keys from work , about 200lbs worth, just need to scrap em and that should cover most of it. Im gonna get on the list for some goons next week.

I really like the look of the E9 but 40 watts just doesn't do it for me need at least 60 but 75 would be perfect IMO of course

I think its a tranny lol single 18650. I use daul 5 wrap 22g on my maker on top of my cc. I use 22g on my hybrid mechmods too. Its easier to work with and seems to last longer imo.

Thats all i had , i use 22g in my maker dual 5 wrap .16 ohm its awesome. I need to get some 24g and 26g for the narda and see what wrks better.
I have SS I have NiFe, I have Ni200, I have gone back to A1 Kanthal 26g for everything. In a bottom fed situation I have now squonked long enough that I know when to squonk to cool my own wicks. Tanks? Different story. Your preferences will vary I'm sure.

I use 22g 316L a lot of the time. I never have a problem with it lol
Awesome.. Please don't take my suggestions as me telling you that's the only way to do it. I realize I can become a pontificating douche at times. I am far from the authority on coil builds, I struggle at times.

I would take a couple of those cool rings if you got some extras , let me know a price and just throw them in with the xl return trip.
