Hope they prescribed you the good stuff, and that you heal quickly. I broke my hip in half about 6 yrs ago and 6 hr reconstructive surgery and 3 ss rods & a day later i was home on krutches for 10 mnths with vicoden for a toothache, was like a bad joke.
Yeah they have me pumped full of goodies and this is the 2nd time having the same back surgery just more discs herniated this time from 2to 5 looking at one more surgery in the future hopefully in another 10 years .
I know how that feels, im prob gonna have to get a hip replacement in 20 yrs , breaking it at 25yrs old sucked but im 98% for now, arthritis and such. I have a couple herniated discs and they wanted to do surgery, i declined, because i dnt know anyone who has just 1 back surgery. Be carefull with those meds, dr's will get you strung out , they did me , took me yrs to kick that curse.
I'm lucky in that department I have a great family Dr and he does great work with the pain management and slowly step down the meds as not to just pull the rug out from under you. After 1st surgery they had me on meds for 3 years and he finally got me in a PT program that built the muscles around my bad discs that allowed for the meds to be stopped and he slowly weened me off over a few months so I'm lucky to have a good one as I have seen alot of people go down that pain med road and it can do a number on ya.
Yea i had no insurance so i had to do my own pt and teach myself to walk again, and my docs just cut me off the meds after 2 yrs andvive never been so sick in my life, never again will i go through that , il just deal with the pain
