Sorry, I haven't been posting a lot lately; but I do scroll theough now and then.
One thing I do, to avoid the sag is, I never set up a coil with a fully charged battery. I always have a battery around that is down around 3.65V or so, because I charge batteries in pairs. So, there's usually one around waiting to go on the charger. Even with a depleted battery, I start out with real quick pulses. I never heat a coil up white hot. It's not necessary to set a coil.
Maker in the house. Tried the z coil and quickly remembered that I hate z coils... ended up with a dual N80 24g 7 wrap 2.5mm ID coming in at 0.2 and it's very nice. Very smooth draw, though I agree the chuf is just a tad too wide. I'm super excited to finally have a top air atty agrees with my vape style.

Truth be told the Batts in my Cam-m are fairly low, probably around 3.7v if I had to guess. I'm a bit leary to install fresh ones for fear it may be too hot. Might end up going for 26g and a slightly cooler build, but I'm lazy right now.

BTW Tom, have you had a look under that plastic deck piece? Not a problem yet, but wondering why it's there and if it's really necessary. Could it be removed? Why not just expose the SS deck underneath it?
Catfishes and Catfishesses. I have a general building question. I consider myself a good builder but have one recurring issue where upon dry firing for the first time to work out hot spots etc, usually my coil sags a bit. Such that my mandrel won't slide freely through anymore, I kinda have to work it in or screw it in a bit. Sometimes the end wrap distorts a little or sometimes middle wraps. My coils vape great regardless but they seem to vape better when this doesn't happen but I'm not sure what I'm doing differently to keep it from happening.
Anyone experience this? There's a sound when it sags, kinda like metal ...sagging
ETA I use Kanthal only although I have some SS316L on the way to try out (for mech use though, not TC)
Like others said, quick pulse and strum the coils..
There are never hot spots (for me at least) on s.s coils if they are spaced (preferred).
I was wondering the same thing. I just want to pick it out but then I think we'll I guess it is there for some reason.
I passed at first but ended up telling Tom to send me one later this week. After all the hype I had to break down & at least try it. Have you only done duals? Horizontals or verticals?
Of corse... It's done just like the stumpy with a keyway but the plastic is used for alignment of the post as well, on the maker it just doesn't embed into the deck as deeply so the plastic plate makes up the difference.

Would it be possible to get the tracking brother i have a screwy address they dont allways get it right.i know u are an extremly busy man and understand Im sure they are expertly bf what about it that appeals to me is the acf is on the out side not taking room up on the inside, they way it locks, and the post should be amazing to work with. I am very excited about this rda. I will surely be posting build picks once they show up. First time i have bought 2 of the same rda right off the gate hope they are all i want and need them to be.
