That WOULD be anemic. Nah, it seems to function pretty much as a mech, but with
a) a 5-ish click on/off and
b) a low-ohms or high watts LIMIT of some kind - thought it's not 60 as the specs suggest, as people have fired it below 0.2.

I have a typical Train2 build on it, something like 0.45, and it hits great.

I'd throw a different atty/build on there and see what's what.
It should be comparable to any mech squonk, give or take a little voltage drop...

As I understand it it works as a mech but it uses a down regulated constant voltage of 3.5v so yes it's regulated but not like most of us are used to.

Solstice on SwampPiano

I neglected to publicly thank Tom for the send-in Solstice. Many twists and turns to getting this up and running well. All I can say is what we already know, Tom does immaculate work and is a Major League Stand-Up Guy! Dual spaced 26GA 3mm at .55 Ohms this puts out good flavor and pleasant fog. It's a good choice for a mid-priced rda. I and another member had trouble with ours as they leaked from the post and bottom screw. A solution presented itself. It's now exclusively bottom-feed. And all lived happily ever after.

Thank you Tom!

Question for those of you that had a rematty aside from the difficulty in building how did it vape and work as a bottom feeder?

No difficulty in building the M Atty encountered here...it was very easy to build..it almost builds itself. The flavor is very good and the airflow is very good for me (these are subjective of course). As for bottom feeding it works fine as far as I can see. It was a very good choice.

Looking for more Hype Clones? I want one more, help me justify another batch.

M atty and nipple RSA bottom feed clone extravaganza

I do have a few nipples available currently.

Agree with Tamer. Easy build, good flavor and good airflow for a semi restricted (just a little) lung hits. I've been comparing it to the NarDA clones from Ross and they are pretty close. The M has a bit more airflow and much easier to build. Sorry, but I won't spend $130 or more for an OG but am happy you did the clones and if you do another run I will buy another.

The rematty may be a pain to put a coil into, but vapes great once you do! Squonk/drains fantastic. I didn't care for the stock cap but the slam caps are a very nice upgrade if they're still available.

Those screwy negative posts are why it's put away collecting dust.

I should be getting my Hype any day now. Sounds like it will be right up my alley. So I may be in for another.
As far as the Nipple goes I'm glad I got it. Great atty if you don't need a ton of air. Plus it looks sharp & is solid. BTW If you don't like SS DT it also comes with a polycarb DT

Yeah the REMatty is nice once it's taken 4 hours to build and every curse word in the book used. That thing is on my list of worst rda's ever purchased. I wouldn't take it for free. OK maybe for free if it was BF already lol but there's a reason it went from almost 100$ to 30$ in a little under 2 months.

I assume you actually meant the REMatty not the MAtty? Yes the REM could be a pain to build, as I recall the Sloth had a hell of a time with his. As to squonking and draining; very few do it better if at all. They had a 2.27mm center bore with 1.5mm cross bores for effortless squonking. As I recall the slam cap (510 drip tip adapter) was vital to this atty and at release was in short supply I actually have 3 of the slam caps if you need one. As an atty it was about mid pack of the options at the time but it was top air, nice looking, compact and authentic so it sold well. I would suggest switching to 4-40 X 1/8" grub screws in lieu of the included wood screws.

REMatty and M Atty are different attys ;)

I agree with havok, it vapes well once built. Not well enough to justify the build pains IMHO considering there are such awesome attys out there now, but, nevertheless 'tis a good vape :)
Lol... I never snapped a coil on a REM. It's all about how you set up the coil from the start. Wrap a regular contact coil and bend the leads out 15-20 degrees, instal, the positive, snap in the negative, the bend will actually make the coil snap in.

anybody tried this new Aulus chip that Italy came up with?

I have an Infinity coming with that chip. The specs are rather impressive, multiple wire profiles, a form of TCR & preheat/power modes. Not sure if it's better than the DNA 200 but it's got the specs to be similar minus escribe.

I much prefer my current attys, even so ;)

I'm trying for one. I'm told it's a great chip but has issues with magnets.

Thanks Tom..an issue with the magnets is a deal breaker when it comes to squonking I guess.

Do you happen to know if it's upgradable?

According to the specs I read it is upgradeable. Wish I had the spec sheet handy to confirm.

I'm curious about the magnet issue as well, that would be a definite concern in any mod let alone a squonker.
