I stand corrected on being upgradeable but I question why the start up screen shows the software revision? With that being said USB charging is an optional board so I don't see how it could be flashed or upgraded otherwise.

USB connection shown is charge only. Just the power pins.

I do see a row of unused contacts on the left of the board.
That could be a programming interface.

Definitely not designed with user updates in mind.
Shortsighted I think.

I don't believe the Aulus is the future of squonking; however it's 50w, and it's not a dna40 so at the very least it's a contender. If I had to put money on a new board that will have mainstream Squonker acceptance I would bet on the new Dicodes board. 60w, small, and loaded with options. Only downside, that I see is a very elaborate user interface. I have a pair of Dicodes 6s (top fed 26650) and it took me 2 weeks of daily use to become proficient with them. Pre-programmed with all of the different types of temp control wire and has the ability to do even more as they are released with nothing more than the entry of the temp coefficient. Genius... 60w and also not a dna40....

I also heard a lot of good things about the Russian chip. Many modders think its small size is an added bonus.

60watts just ain't enough. Dual 18650 120ish watts would be great imo. Battery life, great size for man hands, and power. Imagine cam-m with 120watts.
I think the CAM-M is one of the best and most underrated squonk mods out there. Since I got my new atties I have been vaping on it almost exclusively. Once you get used to maintaining it and priming it so to speak, it's a real beast of a mod.

According to the specs I read it is upgradeable. Wish I had the spec sheet handy to confirm.

I'm curious about the magnet issue as well, that would be a definite concern in any mod let alone a squonker.
I've got an infinity squonker coming too. I've asked several times if the issues have been resolved & supposedly they have. We'll see. I know there are at least 2 squonker with the Aulus people should have soon so I'm sure we will see soon.

You should try Beez's Cam-r xl prototype. It has a 80 amp lipo with the dna200. Still well under 3" wide and will run all 200 for quite a while. That Mod was tougher than me by a long shot.
