Black bf goon first impressions huge build deck, weird to build on not to difficult thow once u figure it out I did hAve a aeronaut so allready new how to approach the deck. This is a 6 wrap dual parralell 24 gauge kanthal huge 3.5 mm id. Cotton bacon. Checks so much vapor my head is throbbing from the same 6mg juice I have vape a all most 200 and something ml bottle of for a couple weeks. Double vapor production as the same build but 3.0mm I'd and one less wrap in the evolve. Flavor to be desired more. Trial run first build it's waiting for my tmod 200 but could not resist. I'm sure it will shine with more power then the dual mech offers. My 2 cents. Pics

Run it in single coil mode with 22g 316L parellel. It's a beautiful thing

Thanks for the heads up. I only use kanthal, and nichrome these days. No more temp control crap or any other kinds of wires. I realy bought this rda to run dual twisted micro claptons. 32 nichrome wrapped with 38 gauge nichrome. I made a few set a month or so ago from 3mm id down 2 2mm I'd and they did not fit in any of my rdas I own. I do very much appreciate the heads up on the build thow. I personauly don't trust breething in stainless wire that is a total different debate all together which has very in opinions thay I won't get into here. I will how ever give it a shot with a single parralell 22 gauge nichrome build and c how she vapes. Parralells are my go to build. I do how ever like to build exotic coils is were this rda should work out nicely thanks.

Got my Goons today. Put in duel ss aliens at 3.0 ID. Turned out at 0.16 ohms. Vaping at 460 degrees and 80 watts. I have the coils pretty high so that the holes are pointing just under the coils. I'm fairly impressed so far! I'm getting great flavor and clouds for days!

I've been using my Goon and LBC in power mode for the time being until I can get whatever needs to be set up right. I'm running my Goon with dual 3mm 316l fused claptons, 26*2/30, at .15 ohms. At first I was running it at 80W and it was fairly good. Kicked it up to 90W, and it's starting to do what I want it to. I've been using this LBC since it arrived and set up the Goon, about 6 hours or so, and my battery is still showing halfway. Not bad! Also been through a half bottle of juice. So, it looks like the battery should hold up until refill time.

What is your preheat set at?
I turned it all the way down. After burning up the cotton the first time I tried it and reading about turning it down I've tried it at 100w for .5 sec then I went down to 50w for .5 sec. Still no luck. It'll fire to about 15w then temp control kicks in even though the wick is still wet.

Most of you know that I am not shy when it comes to tossing different builds at my equipment be it a dripper, a tank or a squonker. I also enjoy vaping mech, regulated and TC units and have never pigeon holed myself into one particular style of vaping.

When the man himself recommended NiFe 30 I thought, How good can it be? Having tried just about every type of wire and coil configuration out there I figured " what the hell" and gave it a shot. Once I set the Goon / LBC up with simple dual 3mm 26's on lock at 0.11, 55w and running it between 430 and 480 degrees, I haven't looked back and have no desire to try anything else. Yeah, It's that good.

How about a link for the NiFe 30 ;)

I just found some....not sure where these guys get theirs.

NiFe30 Wire - Rebuildable Supplies

NiFe30 - Zivipf Onlineshop

I have no idea what to order though.

Sent you a PM NF, but since the Gas Man put it out there, I ordered 25m rolls of both the 30 and 48 in 26 and 28g from www.zivipf.com just to play around with. Haven't used the 48 yet and plan on trying some twisted stuff with the 28. Communication was great and the shipping was quick.

P.S, if you hit the British flag in the center of the header everything comes up in English...;)

@Drillerrt, When I got mine, I sucked down a fireball with a 316L coil (24g 3mm ID contact coil - don't remember how many wraps (I think 8) but it came to .38). I didn't know anything about the preheat at the time so I didn't change anything there but while I was looking into it I saw a vid that mentioned that the TCR for 316L should be 0.00092... when I checked eScribe, the setting was at 0.006. Now, I'm not entirely sure since after that I went with spaced coils but I haven't had a problem with it after changing that value.... Hopefully that helps; I'm new to regulated mods so this might not matter at all... FWIW now I'm running a single 24g 10 wrap 3mm ID z-coil on my Stumpy and it's working fine @.42.

Thanks for the tip. I changed the tcr still no luck with the contact coil I have in there. I'll try your build next time I have to rewick. Again thanks for the help.
