Somebody make me an offer on these 3 solstices. Authentic, brand new, ready to go. These were originally over $100 each. They are stumpy format with more coil room and a wider range of air.

I'd be happy to get the 70 each I paid for them.

Part of the reason I use carbon fiber it it's strength. I can use 1/16" carbon fiber where 2mm aluminum would be needed or 3mm wood or delrin. I do want to do a blue delrin mod and possibly a ultem mod. Now ultem in 2mm is pretty strong stuff but isn't very pretty as an accent piece.
What about black ultem

Tom..the upgraded CAM-Ms aka the 011 mods finally made it to Egypt and so far they are brilliant as expected [emoji106] The old one didn't fire out of the box so I took it apart and did some cleaning and they're both working flawlessly now. Will report back again in a few days/bottles.

PSA for my Ch-O-Atty(HD) folks:

I'm not sure how you are getting along with the Ch-O-Atty(HD) but I have discovered if you build it like a Narda the taste is less than spectacular. Build it with your coils at the very bottom of the deck; I mean so low in the deck that you will have to make sure the coil isn't actually touching the BF pin. What a difference! It went from charbroiled vanilla to super dense Thai tea (Thai Boba 6mg cut 50% w/NN 8% stock 75/25) which is 1 of only 2 adv juices that I use.

And btw the Thai Boba is awesome but way to heavy on the flavor. Cut 33%-50% it's great.

Thanks Tom, I did the same thing (only not quite that low) made a big difference for me too. I do love this atty. are you building at an angle too? I tried doing a split wick like I do in the ChiNarda, but couldn't get it right.
I tried the split wick in the Narda once. Didn't much care for it. I try to wick and coil as quickly as possibly so I can get back to work on building, modding, and fixing stuff for others. Before the days of catfish I would spend hours on a coil or testing wicking techniques but these days if it takes more than 5 minutes to wick and coil I move on to another atty. I love the Marquis but to me it's not worth the aggravation of rewicking let alone coiling. If you have the time I highly recommend it; I lack that time. That's why I love the Stumpy/Narda/O-Atty/Hadalay format. And yes I will be buying 2 Hadalays this week at (gulp) Retail.... I have great hope for the Hadalay, perhaps I should get a bunch?

Maybe... black ultem is strong but still not even half the strength of carbon fiber.
You seen the video of that ultem dna75 squonker get ran over by a car? I was surprised. I dont think i would like a transparent mod , but delrin or black ultem. Better yet black ultem & carbon fiber yeeeeaaah

At that point why not Black Anno? Aluminum conducts wayyyy better than the required wires in plastics. Performance comes first to me. Aluminum or ss wins to that regard. Once prints are submitted I will ask about a ss version with thicker tolerances for doors and bezels so I can offer stabilized wood and plastics panels.

That sounds better than my 2cents

I'm sending my baby off to Harry tomorrow for an unbiased analysis of the new mod and then for blueprints. I have a feeling about this one. Any changes that you would like to see?

As far as design, I like it the way it is. But if I were to buy one that has the exact coloring you show (clear anno), it sure would look cool to have some black in the squonk hole at the spot I circled here:
