Right behind you...
Thanks for the pic. But now I have a question. What do you do after you remove the glue. I mean don't you have to replace it with something else. What is the use for the glue in the first place?

Usually it's to prevent component movement and isolate (and insulate) components, but it's also often used to adhere parts that don't have a good mounting solution, and it's used liberally.

Right, so the what would speed4mee need to replace that glue with?

Likely the only thing needed is a ribbon to hold the plastic cover. Fast and lazy way Blob and press. I would rather have a Pressed pad and thin ribbon for the plastic cover. ipv Mini is Clean inside. All keyed parts.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just an update to my situation. As a recap: I contacted cloupor, they told me to send them a video showing that my cloupor is not firing properly.

Well, I did so weeks ago and never heard back. So I'm chalking this up as a loss. Maybe Chinese new year has something to do with their lack of response, but I dunno. Maybe I will hear from them at some point but I do not expect any kind of resolution at all.

I hear that the ipv Mini 30W also has this issue where using as passthrough and charging the battery internally fries the circuit board. I have an ipv mini 30W and never used it as passthrough or charged internally and so far so good. In fact, I love my IPV mini much more than the cloupor, even though it's not nearly as small and hardly "mini", at least by today's standards.

My suggestion to any cloupor mini owners would be not not use passthrough or charge battery internally.

Received mine today, it's pretty well built and seems like a bangin' little mod especially for the price, we all know that anyway, more importantly its a 0007 batch number so likely to be safe but I will still keep a keen eye on the heat of it and what not, will also be charging using the device for the first week too as I lack a battery charger, but I am always right next to it.

Seriously, go out an buy yourself a TrustFire TR-001 charger. Despite what some people say, it's not a bad charger, just a little slow (which is better for your battery anyhow). I'm convinced, regardless of the serial #, you will fry the board if you charge within or use as passthrough (could be wrong). It may not catch fire, but the board may fry. You can find TR-001 chargers for under $20USD many times.

Its hard to not charge e-cigs unattended. Thats the problem. I've also heard of an iPhone or two blowing up in someone's pocket but it seems to be a bigger problem here in our universe. Guess I should re-think getting the Cloupor. I've also never had a battery I could replace, just an iStick. But I hate the iStick. So I need to get a new battery. Maybe I will just try the 30 watt, my problem with the 20 watt is the center pin issue that people have when using different tanks. But I sure liked the look of that Cloupor and some of the IPVS, Seigelis. Maybe this was a clone?

I have (2) Cloupor mini's, with one being Batch 0002xx. Both work excellent and have been literally put through the wringer. I've power vaped on them, always vaping around .5ohm @ 30w and both have taken a few falls.
The only thing I do not do is Charge my batteries in any Mod, ever.

The mini's are a good Mod overall and new batches seem to have fully fixed the early issue.

Toronto, Canada,
You can see from the picture - Card is in the shot - the unit is from the 0002 Batch that had the defects.

Yeah I noticed it afterwards. For what it's worth I also have an 0002 and an 0003, both are excellent little box mods, actually pretty much all I use now.

Kind of curious who would be selling 0002s currently.

Ok, so are they safe to use with the USB now? I just don't want to buy a battery charger and multiple batteries just yet. Limited apartment space with a huge dog and girlfriend. I know sounds dumb, but the USB thing is kinda important. I guess I could always just get an external and a few batteries but I just feel like I spend so much on this crap. Its getting to be close to what I spent on smoking because I don't rebuild, and I only smoked about 4 cigs a day when I quit for vaping.

well, two batteries is never a bad thing. One charging and one in use. A Dual charger only takes up 3"x6"(appx)

Ok update on my post.
Sent an email last night right after the flame out to Cloupor asking where to send it in for warranty. Lo and behold they sent an email back within 2 hrs. They said unit was not repairable and refunded my purchase price to paypal like lighting fast!
I was impressed but still would have a hard time buying another one. By the way this was not on the micro charger when it happened. I am glad you all have great functioning ones. I posted only for safety.

Glad they took care of you! The choice is always yours, but it seems they have isolated the problem and corrected production. Another member had a Zero mod go up in flames just sitting on the table, so it is not a Cloupor only issue.
