oops.....[/QUOTE said:
Factory had to do something with all those early run Chip Defects

ETA - 7 warts on a DC-DC mod with sub ohm tank..............Guess he has no clue it is running near 30w not 7w :lol::lol:

Removable, probably magnetic back. You can see it in the first few frames kicked loose to one side. Same Bottom usb and hole at the battery neg end.

Maybe Cloupor bailed on their contracts for parts/cases.

So I just received my Cloupor Mini 30W. I immediately took of my Lemo from my Nemesis mech and put it on. The coil that was in the Lemo comes out as 0,78 ohm. The flavor is off the charts on the nemesis, it's a lot lower on the Cloupor. I'm running it at 15W, is that OK or should I go higher?

If the 18650 battery in your Nemesis mech was fresh and fully charged (4.2 volts), then you'd be vaping the Lemo at 22.6 watts. To get the wattage down to 15 on the Nemi, the battery would have to be significantly discharged down to 3.4 volts.

Ohm's Law: voltage squared divided by resistance in ohms equals watts of power. Turn the Cloupor Mini up to 20 watts and see how the vape compares.

The watts for your coil on a fully charged mech are 22.6 (well, actually a bit lower due to voltage drop), so increase your watts.

My battery was fully charged, but it's a 3.7V Efest 18650 battery. I don't think we have higher load batteries here. I'll turn it up more, close to 20W.

A fully charged li-ion battery is 4.2v. 3.7v is the nominal charge. Please read up on battery safety, particularly if you're going to be using the mech mod. Baditude's battery blogs here at ecf are a good source.

Cheers mate, I read up on it and it's a very good read. I doubt I'm gonna be using mech mods anymore, precisely why I bought the Cloupor.

To many toys, to little knowledge.

Sorry to sound rude, but this is how people get hurt.

If you do a build at or Below .5ohms, the Cloupor will not out perform your Mechanical.:)

I'm not really interested in sub-ohming or too much experimentation. This build I'm running now comes out at 0.9, the first read was lower at around 0.8. I generally kept around 1.5 on my Kayfun clone, but I read the Lemo works best around 1 ohm or little under. So now I'm running the Cloupor at around 19-20W and it works pretty well.

I wonder if that is the same chip as the CM? The ISK 30w looks like it is a clone of the CM, but the screen is different. The wattage font is smaller on the ISK than on my CM. I guess it could be the same chip with a different screen.

$15.00 is crazy cheap for a 30w box mod. I'm curious to see if it is any good?

30 warts? I had a single wart once, wouldn't ever want more than that. :)

Seriously, looks like somebody cloned a Cloupor Mini.

Also, I find it amusing that this guy was the same one on the first video review of the Cloupor Mini back at the beginning of the year.

Would be nice if there was sleeping gas in the tank he's vaping on.
He's a bit too excited for my liking.

Anyone else having the finish wear off on their clouper mini?

Got mine maybe a month ago, using it constantly. Works great, but the black finish on the right hand side of the battery door is down to bare metal! Right where it curves. Also a few scuffs around the bottom also exposing bare metal. And I try to baby it, never pocket it with keys or anything like that.

Less than a month, looks like it's 10 years old. Time for a wrap I guess, but I'm not impressed with the finish [emoji35]

Sorry to hear that the black finish on your Mini isn't holding up. A nice skin seems like the remedy that's called for.

My silver Mini is two months old and the finish is still pristine, but then, I use it only about 1/10th of my vape time. I've ordered a wrap for it, mostly just to see what it looks like with a nature-themed skin (woodlands).

That sucks yours is wearing so bad. Mine is still in pretty much perfect shape. I have a few other mods but I do use the mini a lot for work. A skin is an easy fix so all is not lost.

The ISK30 looks interesting. I would assume the chip would be garbage at only $15 but I didn't think the chip in the mini would be decent either. I bought the mini mainly to put a DNA40 in it but have been using for almost 2 months and can't justify replacing the chip. Should be interesting once the reviews come out. I might grab one since FT no longer carries the Hana enclosures. Plus it would be $5 cheaper and way smaller:)

Right behind you...
That's why I bought silver. :)

Mine has a few scratches now, from me just flinging it around on car seats, in and out of pockets with change, sliding it across a concrete table, etc. But you'd have to own it to even notice the damage. And I bought it to be a beater anyway. It's holding up better than my MVP 2.0 did, that's for sure.

Yup, bought mine with same intentions. And agree, its hard to gut a working mod.

Probably works out the best though, gives evolve some time to get all the bugs out [emoji3]

For a budget board it has performed very well. Much better then then the DNA30 clones I have tried. In my opinion the mini is probably the best value in a low cost mod at this time.

I have built a DNA40 and just did a 25 (no stock on the 40 at the time I oredered and figured why not). Both have been flawless in and out of temp control. I say go for it:)
