The Cloupor Mini has a pressed in 510, unfortunately no lock nut to tighten. You can try using JB Weld, just be sure to clean the area to be glued.

ETA Here's a photo (not mine) showing the CM 510. The serrations are what helps hold the 510 in place. Once the 510 spins in the case, the serrations are like teeth and will erode the zinc case:

I agree the chance of over discharging the battery- and IIRC someone had said it has happened (take for what it's worth and add a grain of salt)- would be my big worry.

What's the safest Volt i can go down to on a Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh? I'm currently at 3,2v on one (because FT required photos). I see that i shouldn't discharge below 2.5v but that seems to be the lowest limit. But i'd prefer a safe spot rather than the lowest value.

I wouldn't sweat it too much, especially if you're using a tootle tank. And even if the battery indicator isn't working, the regulation part still is, and that part MUST know input voltage, and knowing it, will also shut off when it drops below Cloupor's spec.

And folks, these are $5 batteries we're talking about here, running them very low will shorten life a bit, but not drastically as some may think. Real cost, pennies.

I believe part of the question is whether the mod is shutting down before over discharging the battery. So to be on the safe side, monitor the battery voltage to see if the mod limits how far the voltage drops under load or not. Taking the battery down one time to where either the mods shuts down or you reach the safe discharge limit under load won't significantly hurt the battery. Just don't make a habit of it.

Im using the NCR18650B 3400 mah batteries in mine and I use them until it tells me to replace the battery. Is this wrong?

Also am curious if anyone has tried the red lock tite 277 Stud and Bearing on the 510 connectors?
FWIW I cannot find a low battery voltage cut-off spec for the CM. What voltage is the battery at when you get the low battery notification? What does the screen read when it's low?

As far as this hurting the longevity of the battery, likely it doesn't. Unless of course the voltage under load is too low.

The stud and bearing Loctite might just work, but I don't recall hearing about anyone having tried it.

How long does that battery last? I want to try that one. I currently use the NCR18650PF 2900mah.

Got Third Mini Today from FastTech

I was sure it would have the missing battery indicator. I did buy it just before FastTech announced that there is no VIP card. I was surprised that mine doesn't have the missing indicator. Really the only thing different is the missing card. There is some very pi**ed off people at FastTech about the missing indicator. FastTech claims that Cloupor has removed the indicator. I find this hard to believe since it will not be a cost saving and a marketing nightmare. I did email cloupor last week and asked if they will have a V 2 mini with a better non pressed in 510 and better fire button. There response was No v2 planned at this time. My next purchase would be the Kamry 30W V2 . Hoping that it has a better fire button and better 510. The size of the Kamry is very close being only 3.5 m taller.

That's interesting, SS stingray. I hear you re the peeved folks on FT discussions! I don't blame them either- I know I'd be! But I hadn't heard FT saying that Cloupor removed that feature, and I agree it doesn't pass the smell test. Just makes no sense unless the feature was defective and/or causing problems. I do know when the indicator on my Mini shows 50% battery remaining that I really have about 75% remaining. I'm in the habit of letting it drop to about 25%, then I swap in a fresh battery. But even if the indicator isn't very accurate, I MUCH prefer having it to not having it!

On a brighter note, I recently bought a 'dead' ZNA 50 to use the enclosure for a DNA 40 board I have coming from the recent co-op. The seller told me the mod had gotten wet, then went dead. On a hunch I gave it an overnight stint in the oven set on about 140 degrees F. Low and behold, it came back to life and I'm vaping w/it as I type! Photo w/o flash isn't very good, the flash washes out the display so I had to manipulate the gamma and contrast to bring it out.

Just be sure to buy one that includes a VIP card and IMO you'll be fine.

The problem is in they go for £40 ($60 USD) here in the UK, and I don't think the Cloupor is worth that. For £8 more I can get a Vapor Flask clone which is a far superior device. With the issues emerging with this box, buying even with a full manufacturers warranty is a pretty risky venture in my opinion.
