haven't seen any posts in a while. still having problems with this unit or has firmware changes fixed it. i have two of these but from day one have always turned off when i go to bed and have never and will never use usb port charger. both mine seem to be good.

The only Batch to have some units with issues was 0002xx
Even then, only a few of the total production were defective. Cloupor has addressed the issue in newer releases.

im not sure. others say it is. i say, why risk it. it does have a magnetic cover and is easy to charge outside of the device. so thats what i do. my first vv/vw device was an ELVT box mod and it did burn up while on the usb charger after 2 weeks of use. total junk and it was more expensive than the cloupor. Im happy with cloupor. both mine passed the 15 sec test so I'm not gonna worry about it. but will continue to charge outside the box.
What about turning the CM off and removing the Atty? Would that work as well for protecting against meltdown compared with removing battery?
