I have been pleased with my purchase I do understand why some are a little bit upset but as long as people continue to spend their money that nobody made them spend the folks across the waters are just smiling and keep making things they know that we will buy it's all about the money money money money.

Had my first problem, the magnets on the cover unglued. Simple fix with so,e super glue so not a big deal. I've also earned my first nick. That's not a knock on the build, I'm just rough on my equipment at work. It's held up substantially better than my vapor shark dna40 that cost almost twice as much. I've ordered a cover for it because it's looking so bad. This thing is tough. I'm absolutely loving it!

is there any trick to super gluing the magnets? or tips?

I got mine in and the magnets were not attached; like 4 of them.
Do you glue one to each side... the box and the lid? I would guess so.

i actually had ordered a bunch of high watt box mods just before the DNA40 came out and I HAD to have the 40, so I haven't even used my T8 (or Sig100) yet.
Don't really need em but I got it from China and am not going to try sending it back.

I just put a dab of super glue on it. Make sure you have them opposite poles so the back will only go on one way, the correct way. It's not a big deal if you don't but that's how it comes and is convenient, I forgot when I
It mine back on.

I'm hoping the aluminum frame will make this gluing doable vs trying to super glue to a plastic Hammond box. I have a Raptor in plastic box that is impossible to keep the magnets from slipping.

So torn about getting this mod. Got to handle one at the B&M, and just based on the box/display/buttons, it's killer. And I normally dislike "plain" box mods. Also, knowing the true specs, I honestly dont need over 80w for my devices, either in high voltage or hi amperage configuration. Most of my favored ADV setups are in the 20-30w range on 0.5-1.0ohm coils.

But then there's the honesty side of it. I feel like it's shady business calling it 150w, when it doesnt provide a 150w vape. While it does output 150w (despite what people who napped through electrical theory in school say), it's a PWM 150w, and they still havent spilled the beans on what their PWM wave looks like. This is why it's vapor output is nowhere near that of mods that put out a constant 150w. I think I would have appreciated Cloupor being up front with people in explaining how their mod works, instead of only disclosing the output when questioned.

And another note towards honesty, which goes to all VW mod makers; the very next spec after "X watts" on your device should be max voltage and amperage capabilities, and a reccomended resistance window. Dont make us dig through online spec sheets or grill you via email to get those numbers, it only results in people who dont have a lot of knowledge getting ...... off that your uber-mod does not perform as advertised. And mod makers, if you really want good karma, program your chip sets to actually display accurate wattage output when hooked to an atty. The chip is already reading resistance and battery voltage, so it should be capable of telling me when I've hit my watt ceiling, despite how many times I click the up button. The way they work now, to pick up the car analogy, is like reprogramming a speedometer to read double past 60mph and calling it a performance boost.

So that's my rant. Still torn on getting it. I dont like the fact they tricked people who dont know better into thinking this device was something it wasnt...but then again the Darwinist in me says if you're at the point of shoving 150w into your face, you should know better, and if you dont it's your own damn fault.

Well as someone who is upset for the incorrect specs being advertised, changed then still not being correct...... I have managed to get a satisfying vape for an ADV and getting a solid 93.64 actual watt output on a quad coil .387 ohm build on a geyser. I'm not getting rid of it and it's not serving its original purpose but it's a decent box.

Since we are talking about specs (and I haven't even tried my T8 yet; too many box mods), I just perused some new offerings on Vapor Tek USA and see that the high watt boxes, i.e. 260 watt something or other, and others, they only show the watts range in the specs.

Which ticks me off because i want to see the voltage too, just like the T8, I would bet they would not be able to satisfy as something innovative with higher voltage.

I tend to prefer DNA type mods now anyway because I have enough that can do more than 50w if I need it (rarely since i use mostly RTA type atomizers), and DNA can deliver higher volts (up to 8v) for LR resistances (1 to 2 ohms).

UKEMAN...I myself rarely go in the sub territory I got too much equipment most of it I don't even get anywhere close to what the mod is capable of doing because I mostly use RTA's also.I got 4 box mods,30/50/100/150 watt devices and I got four other mods stick a fork in me I'm done buying mods for now, just my two cents not speaking for anybody else by no means.

Quick post to note some testing I've done with the Cloupor T8 and my data logging multimeter.

One positive thing of note is that the T8 fires instantly when the fire button is pressed, and reaches set voltage almost instantly - faster in fact than the IPV3, which has a slightly longer (and noticeable) ramp to voltage. The screen, battery life, magnetic back plate, and overall size are also thumbs up in my book.

On the down side, the T8 fires almost exactly 10% low on set wattage, as tested with several different loads (0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0 ohm) at 10-70W in 5W increments. At each set point, the calculated wattage ranged from 9.53 - 10.75% below the specified power.

The T8s other issues are reasonably well documented, like low maximum amperage, and inability to achieve max wattage at all but a very narrow range off resistances. I also noticed that the 510 pin is too long, and even when screwed all the way in, almost none of my 40+ atty's are able to sit flush. I remedied this by grinding one of the pins shorter, screwing it in all the way, and adjusting contact using my atomizers 510 instead. I will note that the Aspire Atlantis and Kanger Subtank fit perfectly flush with the longer pin, and do not work with the shorter pin due to not having an adjustable 510.

Hope this helps!

Been bombarding cloupor via emails to try and get a new firmware to flash for my t8, so far the same old excuses that it gives out 150w but normal scopes cant measure accurately. Would be great if they fixed the issues with it and give us our moneys worth of watts
Was it T5 or T6 cloupor tried to upgrade with dismal results?
