CO latest state considering e-cigarette limits- minors only

The best protection against BAD legislation is GOOD legislation. Although it might seem unnecessary to lump e-cigs with publicly vilified tobacco products, unless there is proof that e-cigs are completely safe, it is quite reasonable to outlaw sales to children.
As used in this section, "tobacco product" means:
6 (I) Any product that contains NICOTINE OR tobacco or is derived
7 from tobacco and is intended to be ingested or inhaled by or applied to the
8 skin of an individual; OR
9 (II) ANY CARTRIDGE THAT IS DESIGNED TO DELIVER INHALED
10 DOSES OF ANY SUBSTANCE CONTAINING ANY AMOUNT OF NICOTINE.
11 (b) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF PARAGRAPH (a) OF THIS
12 SUBSECTION (5) TO THE CONTRARY, "tobacco product" does not mean any
13 product that the food and drug administration of the United States
14 department of health and human services has approved as a tobacco use
15 cessation product.

In my opinion, that is a perfectly reasonable definition of tobacco products.

Somewhere along the way, CO got pretty reasonable with it's legislation. The state legislators actually try to limit stupid and unnecessary laws. They're just a waste of time and money.

I suppose that depends on what you consider reasonable, stupid, or unnecessary. :) But I'm a minarchist, so I suppose there's few that agree with me on those points.

I would think that a minarchist would find the equal application of the law for all non-therapeutic nicotine or tobacco products to be quite necessary and reasonable.

Colorado can enact some pretty outrageous laws. You want outrageous? Go to Boulder! Once while I still smoking (and in my car), a woman in a car, in another lane, looked at me, very obviously turned up her nose, and then rolled up her window! I mean, c'mon...seriously?
But that's the way they are in Boulder. I wonder how their city laws will treat ecigs?

hey! good going colorado! hopefully my home state of Missouri will do similar things! they really don't give a rat's ... when it comes to tobacco. some counties and municipalities do, but the state itself simply does not care. now with liquor they have some pretty strict laws but for the most part it's "oh, you're 18? smoke all you want"
