Should be titled "Hypocrisy at it's finest" or "Hit 'em hard except when it hits home"
That's about all I can say right now about it since I can't use the language I have for this type of #$!(*$ here.

Excerpts: (Bolding by me)
State attorneys general have, and will continue, to work to protect youth from the dangers of tobacco use. State attorneys general have advocated for the FDA to promptly issue regulations addressing the advertising, ingredients, and sale to minors of electronic cigarettes (also known as e-cigarettes). We have noted the rapid increase in the marketing and sale of e-cigarettes to minors, and them is information among minors regarding the safety of e-cigarettes. The FDA's leadership in regulating e-cigarettes is warranted and is a proper use of its regulatory authority.
However, I believe it is unnecessary, improper, and potentially unintended to implement such a broad scale regulatory scheme that would fail to account for the unique position of the J.C. Newman Cigar Co. The proposed one-size-fits-all regulatory scheme would be onerous for the J.C. Newman Cigar Co. by damaging the company's ability to make new products by having to go through testing procedures it cannot afford. The current regulatory framework encompassing J.C. Newman Cigar Co.'s unique, hands on manufacturing of premium cigars with seventy-five year old machines sufficiently balances all the relevant interests .J.C. Newman Cigar Co. already takes numerous steps to keep its product away from minors by selling its product in specialty shops and not marketing to minors.
Elected officials, Democrats and Republicans, from across the nation, including U.S. Senators, over two hundred U.S. Congressman, and Florida's Governor and Lieutenant Governor have weighed in support of changing the proposed regulations to exclude premium cigars.
