this may be why im lacking flavor th and vapor

ok so now that you have established 2.2 ohms per coil in parallel 1.1 ohms total. you said you are using 3.7 volts on your vamo. so your hitting 12 wants of power but that is spread out over 2 coils so really your getting about 6 watts of power to each coil. the vamo is adjustable up to 6 volts if your battery can handle it, you could put out 32 watts total or 16 watts of power per coil

i THINK the vamo might have a wattage cap of 15 watts.. never owned one so i cant tell you.

EDIT: not sure where i got the idea that you are using 3.7 volts, sorry.

I agree. I tried building in that ohm range when I first started with rba's and it just didn't do anything for me. I use a AGA-T at 0.6 ohms and a IGO-L with micro coil at about 1.1 ohms. Both give about the same performance. It's also not just about the resistance. Air flow, air hole orientation to the coil, wicking and coil surface area all count too.

I check my ohms with my vamo and I think I have it good but then it either lacks vapor or taste. I liked it at .4 but that's pretty low for the battery I have atm, im waiting on better ones to come in

Specifically which batteries are you using now, and which ones have you ordered?

While you're buying new RDAs, get a good multimeter as well. While the Vamo is OK for checking resistance for things like Protank heads, you really need to be doing this properly AND safely.

Get. a. multimeter.

Yup. And it doesn't have to be an expensive one to do the job. I think I paid $20 including shipping for mine from eBay or Amazon. I also use it to check battery volts to see when to put in a new one and to check volts off the charger.

I didn't think a multi meter would work I have one in the trunk of my car

so just picked up some organic cotton balls threw them in my coils and im getting a weird taste does the cotton just need to adjust to the coils or does it need to be micro coils its 6 wraps at .4 it droped somehow

When I first started with cotton, it was tricky. You gotta look at that thing after you finish and check for hot spots. I usually take extra cotton and flop the extra down the backside of the coil, to sort of sandwich one side of the coil. It sounds like you may have some hot spots to me.

thanks I checked everything looks to be touching ill throw some more cotton on the back end of it and see how that does I put another flavor on it and it doesn't taste bad anymore so ill wait till this flavor runs out and try it again

EDIT: the new flavor also as a hell of a strong hit if that matters as well

Quick question concerning this thread. Since electricity always follows the path of least resistance and no two coils are the same (down to .001 ohm), how much can the coils vary and still functin?

im not exactly sure on that but I know no two coils of mine look identical at all and sometimes they work great

im glad you asked that I kept forgeting
